You're going to need headers and high flow cats if you do any type of supercharger build above base boost levels. The stock headers are good for a car off the showroom floor but they're more of a restriction point than the stock air box is. I think he said he wants it louder too and they'll certainly make it louder and meaner...pretty much the same price as a cat back exhaust, which is all bark and no bite.

headers
I would like to put some long tube headers on my 17 2SS but at $1500-2000 they are way more expensive than folded metal tubes should be...
Maybe I need to start an aftermarket parts company? |

I doubt it. Sorry.
http://www.camaro6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=472259 And this much HP is only with the dry filter. Oil filter gives less.

To answer people's questions about a point of reference of what I've came from the other vehicle in my garage is an '09 Z06 with full bolt-ons and a tune making 510whp. I also had a H/C/I LS2 C6 and a bolt-on Dodge Magnum SRT8, both of which were sold to make room for the Camaro.
I wanted something new for a change and the styling of the Camaro really resonates with me. Every time I drive it I've been falling more in love with it and am becoming exceedingly happy with the purchase. For the time being I don't plan to void the warranty but I have such limited experience with the 6th gen small blocks and Camaros that any information I can absorb from you all about modifications is going to be useful for when I do decide to make the jump and turn this baby into a beast. thanks for all the input thus far! |

If you're worried about the warranty don't bother doing anything. It's not worth doing anything without tuning. You'll just pick up Mickey Mouse gains if that and there's no guarantee you'll be covered. This ECU logs a lot more data than before. Trade it in towards a ZL1 if you want it faster and need a warranty.

I understand the happy dyno line, some will make.glory pulls for sure.
But are you telling me his baseline the dyno was sad and then after installing the rotofab it was happy? ![]() Happy dyno or not, it will still show a difference on back to back pulls if there is power made.

The GM performance exhaust will solve the noise issue and NOT void the warranty.
You can find them discounted. BTW this is NOT the NPP switchable exhaust....
