Agree...

That said, I really like the Stinger interior very much. Tesla is by a far margin the biggest culprits of "tablet on the dash" look. I'm sorry, but I think its just absolutely terrible. I'm a techy kinda guy, and I think sticking this huge monstrosity of a screen on the dash is tacky as all get out. I understand it might be the "future"...and very much likely once we see autonomous cars start becoming more the norm. But it doesn't look good.

Yeah, Home Entertainment in your car is a mistake!

The Stinger will sell. It has that "luxurious BMW look" to it, 365hp, but it has 379 ft lb of TORQUE! It will offer what the other manufacturers can't or won't... a warranty! Kia's rate pretty well too... beating Cadillac in JD Powers' ratings... LOL!!!

I have the Fusion Sport someone mentioned earlier. It's got the twin turbo 2.7L with 325HP and 380 torque. The GT stinger has a 3.3L so their power numbers aren't that impressive. Ford and GM now have 3L engines with 400HP and 400TQ

I'm sure those numbers, like other manufactures publish, are on the low or conservative side.

My neighbor works for Kia, and to my surprise one day brought a pre production Kia Stinger home a month back. I got to sit in it and check it out, seems like a nice offering from Kia to combat against the Germans. I think it'll be a fun car to drive and good options for the price.

The Fusion Sport is slow.

Even though it is RWD, I don't think Kia built this to compete against things like the SS, Fusion or the like. I believe they built this to combat the Toyota 86, Subaru BRZ, and Civic Type R. Today's younger crowd for the most part is looking to these cars and not the US Manufacturers as much, so Kia wanted to get their piece of the 20 something crowd.

WUT? This is no way in a similar segment to a Toyota 86, BRZ, or Civic Type R.

This car will be cross shopped with an A4, Fusion, Q50, more than it will any of the cars you listed.

Yeah, I can see that. I retract my statement.

Most people don't know, let alone care, where a company is headquartered. The younger you are, the less it matters.

And I can't see anyone cross shopping a midsize sedan against a subcompact coupe just because its Asian.

It's intended to compete in the 5 series and E class luxury segment yet cater to the younger enthusiast crowd, it even comes with big brembo brakes and quad exhaust.
