Yours look pretty good for that amount of time/miles. I think if it wasn't for my Sebring days, they would be in much better shape.

My big track time push is April/May/June. I'll use them for one more event and swap. I've been really impressed with the G3.

The treadwear is very even; I'm surprised. Did you have a track alignment performed by the dealership?

I had the track alignment done at 1,563 miles. Did the break-in until 1,500.

Have been using the car as intended since then 😉

After putting almost 9000 miles on mine I have decided to go with another set of G3's and I am going to get the dealership to do the track alignment as well. I have an event coming up at the end of April at Nola so I'm going to run these until I get closer to the event. Has anyone found a place that will do the alignment other than the dealership? NTB said they can do it but they only have specs for the 2016 model Camaro and I'm not too sure if I trust them. And I am wondering if our 1LE's might have a different alignment than a 2016 SS. Thought?

They can manually enter the specs that you provide from your HP Supplement. It's super easy. 2 degrees of front camber, 1.5 degrees rear camber, and a .1 degree of toe front and rear.

The guys at NTB are idiots so it will be going to dealership for track alignment Tuesday with a brand new set of G3's. The old ones were pretty worn and starting to loose traction.

That simply makes me cringe to think of the poor mileage out of these expensive tires. I'm now running drag radials on the street and have never done a burnout for fun, only at the drag strip and only once on OEM tires. My rears are showing some wear, but I expect another 10-15 k out of them since I drive very moderately on the street. What do the OEM tires sell for at, like, tirerack?

OEM tires on tire rack right now is 334 for each rear and 298 for each front plus shipping.
Very expensive.

For performance tires this wide on 20s that isn't that crazy. Funny thing, when I shopped around for the G2s on my 14 1LE the best price by far was the dealer. I was shocked. Might be worth checking with them.

You should see what Pilot Sport cup 2s run for a Z06... yikes.

Edit: Meant to quote the comment above about the price.

Track alignment done. Got -2.5 camber front and -1.5 in the back. Car handles like it's on rails. You really have to push it hard to get understeer. Going to run Nola Thursday and that will tell the true story. Paid $1500 for all 4 mounted and balanced. Didn't even think to check the dealership. Maybe I should have. Now I'm curious. Lol

He's right the price on these new Goodyear Supercar 3's are actually a killer deal. Go research on tire rack and find a better performing tire for less money. It doesn't exist this tire gets you Michelin Sport Cup 2 level performance for 1/2 the price and twice the tread life!

As an Engineer who works on several Michelin projects, I can not stress how impressed I am with this Supercar 3 tire! Before these cars were even on the roads I had planned to burn through the GY's and replace with Super Sports for daily driving and sport cup 2's for track days. Now I will definitely be keeping the OEM GY's for track day / autoX

How about some cheaper options that will have more tread life for street use?
