Has anyone else heard this?
What am I missing? Dealer says GM is "working on" a supercharger system for the SS that'll be under warranty and costing around $11K. Is the ADM setup dealer offered and under warranty or ?

I am not sure this is the case or not, but GM has worked with tuners in the past on potential developments that can appear down the road from the factory. Nevertheless, it seems to me the posts about ADMs LT4 package have some relevance to the OP.

I don't disagree on relevance for sure. I think the big difference I see is GM supported or not. If you can walk in to a GM parts department and get a fully supported supercharger system, that's a huge deal. Ford does it today and even includes the tune.

However, if it's just piecing together GM components to supercharge an SS and there's no difference in warranty or support from GM, then there are much better options IMO like Magnuson or Edelbrock.

Gm is not working on a Supercharger kit for the 6th gen camaro or any other camaro.

Sorry to have to bring this to light .

While ford actually does nothing as far as R&D or production of FI for their non factory FI it would be nice if GM backed a reputable tuner the way ford has. I seriously doubt this business model has taken away from their cobras. I have no doubt it would be the same for the ZL1. They make money with minimal cost and effort.

One difference to keep in mind though is that GM warranties their (stock) cars for track use, whereas ford definitely does not. That kind of changes the variables involved as to how doing what Ford does would affect them financially.

That makes sense. Admitted I have not researched that portion of the equation.
