If the shop doesn't charge to much extra.. I would be glad to...
But... the car setup with the CAN tune with no other mods is how the tune is written. It could comand more fuel causing a lean issue.. if you do the rotofab or headers or both together Edelbrock will definitely back out of the warranty.. I think i'll probably just be able to show the results with rotofab, headers, and tune.. vs stock box, headers and can tune. I know when I did the LS3 eforce I did the rotofab and headers at the same time and picked up some really good performance. Sounds like your wanting to know if you can run the stick tune w the rotofab upgrade and still keep the can tune.. but, I have headers to so I doubt the tuner will do that..

The rotofab did add power over the stock box and hi flow green filter that the eforce came with. I didn't dyno as hi as before I had just filled up the day before on Sams Club gas the car really wanted to pull timing is what they said. There pretty sharp at powerfab so I trust what the tuner thinks is that I had a batch of bad gas or maybe even the guy put 91 into the 93 tank seen that before aswell. My original dyno was way higher.. the car didn't want to pull timing like it did yesterday.
These are 2 back to back runs on the same day.. so hopefully on a good day the car will be about 580 at the wheels.. but the test did show it adds power.. even with bad gas. I imagine that the lt4 guys will pick up more with there setup for GM filter probably doesn't flow aswell as well as the hi flow from edelbrocks kit..

I take it no tuning was done between pulls then, since you were running crappy gas?

Nope.. safe to drive even if it had good gas.. now a stock paper filter maybe.. and 50 hp gains like ADM got lol who knows..

Not really.. the only way I got my ls3 edelbrock to be heard was increase the boost w 3.0 pulley.. I'm thinking this is the same.. however will see what happens from the video but as far as driving I could not hear much of a difference in the car. But also we have probably one of the loudest cars to..

Thanks for the before and after Jack. Good info. Are your LT trims in line?
And you got a new green filter with yours? Didn't get one with mine. Must have been a decision to add one to the kit after the first release. |

Funny u ask as it came up at the shop when I drop car off.. it's setup to run short term only..
Not sure as eldelbrock provided the kit.. I think I remember Kristy Lee the hot one installing the filter.

I'm curious how traction is with your upgrades? I'm trying to decide if I want to go with N/A or aspiration.. I'm also trying to decide what HP area The car can handle without spinning like crazy. I don't want to do suspension work and want to keep a tire on it that gets decent tread life under normal use.

Traction is an issue at stock hp.. cold days no car will have traction.. I like cornering and straight line so a good autocross tire like the Nitto 01 or Toyo R888 offer the best of both worlds. You like just stright line a nitto or mikey street drag will work just fine like in a 305 30 20. It's not that bad as,far as traction goes but my other car is twin turbo I spin 5th gear lol 3rd gear loss of traction is rare at hiway speeds.. but 1 is easy and second too.
Tough call.. I like the stock cam vs my stage 4 in my other car some times I get tired of the chop.. But you could do the built motor NA with extra fuel lobe and have that taken care of now.. cause u will get used to the power and won't more l
