Well time for an update. After a week of trying to get a hold of someone at MSD I have decided to try again on my own to fix it. Emailed them twice and called several times no response. -.- I can see that the top shell is warped on the right side like a potato chip and will not come down all the way to seal properly. (kinda seals when I put a C clamp on it, but still leaks) I have resorted to using black rtv silicone on the outside edges of the leaking corner. I made sure no rtv got on the inside of the intake seal just the outside. Fingers crossed when this sets up it will work. Going to test it again with water tomorrow night and hopefully install Sunday if all works out this time. For $1200 I got a missing bolt, a plastic covered hole, excessive plastic slag, air bubbles in the cast, a warped top shell, and zero response from MSD..... Never again. Buyer beware!

... I hate being the barer of bad news.

What shame. $1200 for a piece of plastic and they don't even do Vacuum or pressure test before shipping! No response from them either. they should give you a new intake and $500 back for this shit. Sorry for your troubles, but this is just absurd.

Keep trying, to get a fixed one. Imagine trying to sell it down the line and having to tell new owner he needs to mod it for it work.

I sent a direct email to someone at MSD with a link to this thread. Hopefully it will help.

I guess I'm asking what vendor you purchased it from to return to them unless you got it direct.

No way would I have tried to fix that myself. Gives them reason to say the warranty is void because you modified it.

Yotaman It was fine from the factory. I took the two halves apart and ported the runners. Some how the top shell either warped while I had it in storage or was warped to begin with and now after letting it release it wont go back all the way to plum. :(

If you don't hear back and you used a credit card, do a charge back with your bank and let them know it was due to poor quality. Should get them to respond real quick...
