Yes. Separate the wires and apply the liquid tape. Then re-wrap that area. You shouldn't need to do anything more unless one of the wires was mechanically compromised.

FRESH CAB...or get a few felines. OR...set some traps. Better yet, all three.
Here in rural Montana THE damage culprit; PACK RATS. They are big, smart and love to build nests. I had a 69 Chevelle SS that sat outside for a year or so before I bought it. Packrats got under the hood and ruined all the exposed wiring. Had to buy an entire new wire harness. |

Fresh cab works well it can last for three months or so in and enclosed space. We use it regularly in tractors and trucks if it is going to sit any time at all. We had several main wireharnesses get damaged by the little bastards several years ago and now with poison and fresh cab no more damage.

That far left hole is exposed copper where they chewed through the shielding. That needs to be addressed to prevent issues. After that, burn down the house with the rats inside and find a newer one with a better garage.
