I can assure you there is not device in place that limits RPMs. I only have 700+ miles on mine and have gone through the revs a couple times. The cold roads here definitely are slippery with these tires and the TC does come on often even below 4k RPMs. Also keep in mind that the tires need some miles to break in. Absolutely love this car!!!

PTM 5 will solve your issues....but your driver skill may run out before the car can give you all it has.

You mean on YOUR car there isn't. However when YOUR ZL1 showed up to the dealership it WAS in a demonstration mode, limiting several features about the car. Every car for the most part does, and it's mostly for warranty. Basically on the day they sell it, part of the process of selling/final detail, they take it out of demonstration mode, and the official timers on the car start, and possibly this car and other performance cars, have RPM limiter. There's been several sources saying yes there is a limiter when the car is unsold. I watched a '17 ZL1 video that said the car wouldn't rev past 4500 until the car was sold.

Hell they even do this with ORVs, friend of mine bought a snowmobile from a dealership and the machine stopped going above 4300 RPMs because the dealer forgot to take it out of the dealer/"demonstration" mode.

Did you read this on the interweb or did a salesman tell you?

I think you mean "TRANSPORT MODE". It limits certain systems in the vehicle from draining the battery, while the vehicle is in transit. It does not limit engine output power. I had to turn mine off, when I got mine home.

Condition
Some customers may comment that there is a "Transport Mode On" message displayed in the DIC and/or the red battery light is flashing. The transport mode is intended for use on vehicles being shipped outside of the United States and Canada.
For the 2014 model year, some products will be shipped from the assembly plant with the Transportation Mode On. The feature reduces the electrical load on the battery when the vehicle is parked, which extends the battery stand time.
To alert the operator that the mode is on, the red battery telltale will be flashing and if equipped with a DIC, it will display a Transport Mode On message. When the Transport mode is on, the Remote Keyless Entry (key fobs) is disabled, as well content theft deterrent and exit lighting timers are reduced.
When the vehicle is running, the only difference in operation will be the DIC Message and Battery Telltale on. The Remote Keyless Entry function is restored with the ignition in run.
The intent of the feature is to prolong battery stand time. The mode may be left on while the vehicle is in dealer inventory. Also a customer may want to use the mode if the vehicle is going to be stored. The method to turn the mode off is the same to turn the mode on. Refer to the section below for the method to turn the mode off and on.

Correction
2011-2014 Vehicle Procedure
To turn the Transport Mode On/Off, it will be necessary to start the engine, activate the hazard flashers, press the brake pedal (automatic transmission) or clutch pedal (manual transmission) then press and hold the Start/Stop button or turn the ignition key to the crank position for 15 seconds. The same steps are used to turn on the feature.

2010 Chevrolet Camaro Procedure
To turn the Transport Mode On/Off, it will be necessary to activate the hazard flashers, turn the ignition key to the crank position, and then hold it in the crank position for 15 seconds. The Transport Mode Off message will be displayed and the Battery light will turn off.
2010 Cadillac SRX Procedure
To turn the Transport Mode On/Off, it will be necessary to push and hold the Start/Stop button while the brake is applied for 15 seconds or until the Transport Mode Off message is displayed. For SRX, if Transport Mode is active, this causes the RKE system to only work when the ignition is On or the BCM is awake (approximately 20 minutes after ignition off).

Like I said, I know it exists, whether it has the ability to limit RPM or not, I don't know. But I saw it in 2 separate places that it can. And you guys seem to have little proof that it doesn't exist. The 2 places I saw it at were people who drove or owned a 6th ZL1 by the way. No keyboard warrior quotes here.

Usually proof is required from the claimant not the other way around.

I would be surprised if it doesn't. My new colorado was in demonstration mode (not a normal feature for the customer who owns the car to use) which was turned off by turning the key full forward (as if you were starting the car) while it was already running for 10 or so seconds until it turns off. A message came up on the display confirming it was disabled.

Same thing happened with a malibu loaner car I was given while my truck was at the dealer. Was in demonstration mode the entire time I used it. Not sure if it limited RPMs or anything like that, in fact, I don't think it does. But demo mode certainly does exist in many, if not all, chevy vehicles and is supposed to be turned off during the sale of the vehicle.

By default the cars come with traction select on wet mode. I would recommend changing it so that way if you leave it on it doesn't interfere with driving as much..... unless you need it

I just went over 1500 miles, so its time to see what this Gen 6 ZL1 can do.

This is most likely the case.

Cars are shipped this way from the factory...but dealers are supposed to clear this setting as soon as they take the vehicle off of the car hauler. Fluids, tire pressures, etc, AND this setting get addressed during the first check.

Cars shouldn't even be test-driving like this...which is why we rarely read about it.
