My Gen 5 ZL1 had Alcantara shift knob and wheel. 3.5 years daily driving and 31+ thousand miles later..... it looked brand new.

I did not even use a fancy brush. I just lightly moistened a soft towel and with medium pressure scrubbed the knob and wheel. Looked perfect every time.

On a side note I always made sure my hands were clean. No greasy potato chip fingers.
