It's more than just the BCM. The Gen6 uses a newer global OS and everything talks to everything.

The eLSD is tied to the yaw sensor, steering angle, suspension and EBCM. You'll be stripping the car down and rewiring along with adding MRC.

There are two GMLAN wires to the Chassis Control Module, two GMLAN wires to the Suspension Control Module and a single shared signal wire (Serial Data Communication Enable) from the BCM that could be spliced in pretty much anywhere. (And two power wires.)

The new module for the diff makes use of data available via GMLAN. My guess is that this data is available whether the vehicle comes with the eLSD or not.

Has anybody looked into this further, I would like to do this exact install in my 1971 Camaro, I already have the entire rear it's/cradle from a 2018 ZL1 as well as a lT1/8L90-e. What other components would I need. Chassis control module, suspension control module, steering angle sensor, what else?

Well, we are over two years into this swap and it's dead as a door nail.
You were right.

Sadly GM as with most of the other manufactures are doing their best to lock the vehicles down and keep the upgrading down to a minimum.

Yeah, they believe that we will simply keep buying new cars instead of altering the ones we have...judging by sales numbers and the fact that they are dumping most of their car lines, that seems to be playing out real well.

HP Tuners has a tuning tool for the Camaro have you looked into that? Boost Creep

With the HP Tuners MPVI2 CCM tuning tool, you have full access to tune your vehicles CCM to get maximum performance. If you are not comfortable with tuning yourself, the unlimited ability to read and write your CCM allows any qualified tuning shop to use this tool and dial your vehicle in

does the Zl1 have a different CCM? When I look at pictures of the rear suspension cradle I see some sort of computer, is this the CCM? If this is possible, I can see buying a whole zl1 / 1le rear cradle and driveshaft to upgrade an SS, pay for the CCM reprogram.

also do I need the MPVI 2 deal or can the CCM be programed via my laptop? I have the HP tuner software and licenses already. I think the Camaro took 2 or was it 4 licenses? dunno, I started with 8.

Why? There are better stronger options than an eDiff, why not get a 9 inch like the hotrod magazine guys used, then you can swap the gear ratio, 4.10s! Woo Ya!

the GM 10.9" seems to be pretty strong. Does anybody know anybody that has even broken one ever, under any condition? Please price a 9" and let me know.

As I said earlier, this isn't a simple hard part issue. Any time you get into something that has calibration programming requirements then you are going to run into issues on the new cars.

For years the guys on the GM truck forums were just sure they could get the factory OEM trailer brake controller swapped over, 3 years down the road and you still cant get the OEM TBC in a truck that didn't come with one.
Done that and wrote the bcm to work the tap shift on an a6 transmission swap to a 4l60e vehicle. Bcm re write is a piece of cake if know how to get around it. My 07 Tahoe I added a lot to it even the rain sensor wipers and wrote it all into the bcm.
I was looking here as trying to find a schematic on the diff as adding an e locker to the elsd and looking to piggy back it vrs doing it stand alone. Unfortunately gm doesn’t lock them fully for drag racing so now looking for go around as even the drag program they did offer wasn’t fully locking this diff fully.

Get in contact with Hadies, his TT LGX build is ongoing but he did put a ZL1 rear end into the car and mentioned a custom harness to make it work
