Should be no different than any other type of ignition.

The ignition has to be in the "on" position with either type.
Old Fashioned = turn key to on
Push Button = FOB in car, pushing the start button without putting foot on brake will turn the ignition to "on"

With modern fuel injection computer controlled cars, if your battery is completely dead it won't bump start no matter what type of ignition switch you have.
You still need battery power to operate the ECM and fuel injectors.

Driving doesn't burn off my gut like running does. I nearly lost weight when I test drove an SS though b/c I almost sh!t my pants when I gave it some juice.

They do make running shorts with zippered pockets.
