Are you still enjoying the tune? Any issues? Does it feel stronger with the tune? Have fun at the track!

Diablo Works!

I made it to Memphis International Raceway yesterday the 25th of Feb and I was extremely happy with the results. So, here's what I have done to the Car: Vmax throttle body, CAI cold air intake, Diablosport tune and drag radials. The car dead hooked every run but one (water in the lane) and I was able to hit consistent 1.7 60 foot times and my first three runs were 11:9s The timing booth was having trouble with sending posting run data to the board and to the remote printer at the timing slip booth on the return loop, so I only have one of the three 11 second ET slips, but I had to go up to the timing booth to manually write down the run data.

Needless to say, I'm very happy with the DiabloSport tune. It seems that it made nearly 3/10s of a second difference from my last runs without the tune. I had a hero run of 12.089 with street tires but was never able to duplicate that. Here are the slips:

any of the big tuners that do remote tunes can still give you a custom tune via the device as well (Ted for example charges just $160, or even free if you buy the other parts from him)
If anyone wants a trinity let me know. I'm going to throw mine up for sale.

Post the price and someone may pick it up from you.

What's your pistol...of course a 1911 variant. I have a couple myself...Ruger SR1911 Commander Lightweight and just bought a Kimber Custom Ultra II. I haven't taken the Kimber to the range yet, but I expect good accuracy even from a 3 inch barrel. This is the second Ultra I've owned and I love 'em.

I threw it up on the member classifieds under the v8 bolt on/tune/etc section. I checked eBay and people had bid locked unit that was still paired to another car to $255 with over a day to go. That's crazy since it may not even work. Mine's definitely cleared and I still have the car it was tied to just in case.

My .45 is a les Baer monolith heavy weight, all forged with the 1.5" grouping guarantee at 50 yards. Good luck with the Kimber. I always steer clear of compact 1911's because of reliability but love the way they look and feel. It's a sexy gun.

I just meant all the commander sized 1911's regardless of brand. They were hit and miss when the started making them. Kimber's are supposed to be good now. The company got sold about 8 years ago and the mags were bad that came with the guns but that was a long time ago now. They're kind of expensive though for a non forged piece.

Yeah, the Kimber Ultra is a jewel of a 45. I love mine. I have had two solid offers to buy it from me for much more than I paid, but I think I'm going to keep this one Still haven't fired it...bad weather.

Yes, the tune will be the same regardless of which unit you have. I'm looking to grab an I2 myself before long.
