Some companies do Core charges when it comes to factory products.

The Mighty HABU gets allergic smelling rain but alas, she had to endure a couple of trips where the masses suspected that Noah's Arc was someone nearby. The Invo's stick like they were glued to the road in the heavy wet. I crossed a major puddle on the highway that sent lesser cars flailing and these tires cut though it with a gut satisfying bite. Admittedly, they are wider than stock but seem to stick as well as the Summer only Good Years; I pulled a .93 g on my favorite off ramp and there was a lot more grip available (or so it feels) and that was when it was 29 degrees outside.

Is the Might Habu your daily driver?? If so, let me know how the Invo's do, especially now that we're into winter here in the southeast. Considering Invo's or the NT555 G2 just don't know which to go with right now.
Yes, the Mighty HABU is my main squeeze. But I am also retired so I don't have to venture out. I bought the Invo tires for their all season (Southern Virginia mind you) capabilities and think of them rather highly. Besides the NT555s I looked longingly at the NT05s (not the R version) as well. Since I am not going to the track and mostly plan on just enjoying the Camaro on the back roads, twisties, and a bit of freeway crawling, the Invos seemed like a better match for me since they are made for high-performance luxury cars and still have a ZR rating (186+). They are 10 on quite, 10 on comfort and 9, 9 on wet and dry traction. They are impressive, at least to me.

Those wheels and tires look fantastic on your car.
Any issues with rubbing, speedo calibration or abs warnings, running those sizes?
Compared to stock, I noticed that the fronts and rears are about an inch wider.
Fronts are .16" shorter and the rears are .51" taller.

I'm right with you in regards to enjoying my Camaro on back roads and twisties etc...
I'm a several yrs away from retiring too, so I'm just into enjoying the drive and seeing the countryside etc...It's funny you mention the Invo's all season capabilities (southern VA not too much different than here in Greensboro, NC) but they're not really considered all season tires. But I do have some friends that had them on their 2010 SS and also didn't have any issues with driving here in NC in the wintertime. I'm not concerned about driving in winter precip, as I've got a 4runner for that to get me to work and back. My main concern is the colder temps that we do get even in NC. Guess I'll just have to go for it and get the Invos and be careful. Thanks for the response, Donner. I do appreciate it.
Have a wonderful Christmas and New Years

Thank you, ever so much. I do love the look of the rims and tires. I didn't know it when I ordered the 1LE rims but the shade of them really makes the car look great. It's very close to the paint. There is even sparkly bits that glisten in the direct sunlight, just like the car's paint job has in its metallic finish.

From what I understand, for both the 16 & 17
The stock sizes for the Chevrolet Camaro SS
Front Tire Size: 245/40ZR20
Rear Tire Size: 275/35ZR20
Front rim size is 20" x 8.5"
Rear rim size is 20" x 9.5"

https://tiresize.com/calculator/

245/40ZR20 Yields 27.7" for the front Good Year Summer only tires
275/35ZR20 Yields 27.6" for the rear Good Year Summer only tires

The rear in stock from is a tenth (.1) smaller than the front to begin with so the car can deal with a slight difference anyway.

My research showed the following:

The Nitto Invo is 27.60 for the 275/35ZR20 Front
The Nitto Invo is 28.11 for the 295/35/ZR20 Rear

No, there are no issues with rubbing or the speedometer calibration (at least not by a notable amount).

As far as speedometer calculation errors, there is likely some but it's tiny. At 65, the change would make it 0.32 mph less from the front and 1.3 more on the rear. Somewhere below an single MPH is likely but in reality, it's unnoticeable.

Mr. Radar station (that posts approach velocity when entering a nearby construction zone) said I was at 55 MPH when I was showing 55 on the HUD; for a second test Mr. Radar said 68 (SLOW DOWN) when the HUD said 68 as well. If it's off, it ain't much.

The sizes that Rick Hendrick chose for the Mighty HABU don't rub even during ultra tight u-turns. They said they are 'snug' but not a concern in any area. I like the look of the wider and taller rear; others may see it differently. Given that the rims are 1.5 inches wider (each) the contact patch is much bigger. and fun... Lots of fun!!!

Kindest,

Donner

Hello,

I full disclosure, I do not own stock in Nitto, or any other tire company nor have I worked in that business.

Being an engineer, I did a lot of badgering folks that used them and dug around quite a bit on the Internet before deciding on the Nitto Invo tires. I even went to a couple of tire stores that carry them including paying a visit to one of the men that works on my other cars; his opinion mattered greatly to me. He loves Nitto tires and they sell them at his store.

My main concern was about their ability to put up with slushy, ill weather, if not straight up winter conditions (not for the Mighty HABU mind you, rather for my Mitsubishi Outlander). From the reviews I read, and even Amazon lists them being "all-season" radials. Not snow tires mind you. Here's a couple of links.

I had Invos on my vette shortly after they came out and found them wanting.

Soft sidewalls, not the best grip and in moderate rain they were average, no better than the good years that came on it. Do remember that as the tires get wider the chance of hydroplanning increases, something the Invos did on a regular basis. I disliked them so much I got rid of them within monthsr for a set of Bridgestone S 04 which I found way better.

This review pretty much sums up what I found.
