I'm using the Z06 hx motor. Aldo welds houston is making a reservoir for Hx. Bunch of options for the heat exchanger. So far not too much complications.
Good luck, ill be checking back for in progress pics.

Just eagerly awaiting the Zl1 tensioners and idler pulleys and bolts to arrive then it's game on. The waiting part is the most painful as we all know. Aldo welds is custom building a cai for this application, we'll see how this goes.

Got all the pulleys and tensioners. Car going in Tuesday now that we have 90% of everything in. This is a Frankenstein build but we are anxious to see this work. There are a few people with 6g's in and around Houston waiting to see how my build goes and they are going to follow suit lol. I have 2 heat exchangers to choose from at home (the C7Z and a V2 hx) Aldo welds Houston can fabricate almost anything to work. I'm probably just going to get an aftermarket 5th gen Zl1 hx. More to follow next week.

cam card says 1.7 rockers, I thought these were 1.8 rockers?

Nice catch, oldman.

The LT1 has 1.8 rockers. The GMPP heads for the GM "hot cam" uses 1.81 rockers. The old SBC LT1/LT4's used 1.6 rockers. I see the wrote LTVVT for the engine type, but I would call and confirm with them that it was cut for 1.8 rockers and ask them to ship an accurate cam card.

great catch guys on the phone with them now. I am using my stock rockers but got the trunion upgrade. Cam is 235/244/656/651/116+4 lsa. After talking to Vengence and my builder they are figuring I'm going to be around 800 to the crank. I'm not at all mad about it but now I need to look into pistons as this is my daily driver and I beat the sh*t out of it and make plenty of trips to Mexico aka "area 51". More to come later guys and thanks for the catch.

I am using lt4 unported heads btw so this cam will work perfect.

Motor is out and at the machine shop now, should get it back Wednesday or Thursday (pistons, rings, balanced). Blower is getting the 2.38 pulley pressed as well. Not a whole lot to update until those come bwck :~/ End of next week the ball will definitely pick up speed and then it goes to Aldowelds Houston for ice tank and heat exchanger, He is also custom fabbing a cold air intake for it.

Only issue I'm having now is a fkn tiny 157.00 sensor I broke on the transmission that is on back order : <

Ok so thanks to wonderful reliable fed ex I'm still at a stand still awaiting my forged drop pistons and rings which were paid 2 day priority a week ago :(! They will supposedly drop today and we can move along, I have no patience for this nonsense but can do nothing about it. Car is tying up the shop as we await fedex to do what I paid them to do a week ago. Hopefully by tomorrow the engine can get dropped off to the machine shop to be balanced etc and I get it back before he closes for Holiday. Not much to report thanks again to Fedex.
