@Hekate1 No problem. I actually thought the same. Guess I'll see what they end up deciding on Monday, but came here since it's hard to sort the dealership BS from reality lol.

I'll update after the appointment, but seems like they are going to rotate side to side.

Thanks! I knew that the oil change was free, didn't realize the tire rotation will be on them as well! Was thinking that it might not even be worth doing, but I'll have them rotate on Monday.

I do have to catch up a bit here now that I have some free time. Last I was on the T4 wasn't in production and I haven't brought the car in for any updates (Android Auto if that ever came through) and so on.

Don't hesitate to ask questions. Most people on this forum are glad to help and some very knowledgeable people are on this forum.

My dealership didn't initially do it, because they claimed that while—yes, you can rotate side to side—that there would be no point to it unless there was an alignment issue. However, when I pressed, they agreed that it could/would be done if requested.

TJay74 is exactly right about the cupping. My previous car had some tires that were directional and staggered, so I couldn't rotate them at all. The tire wear looked even after about 8K miles, but they howled so loudly that the service department changed the wheel bearings and ring & pinion before they finally realized it wasn't even a mechanical issue.

Update:

Just home from the dealership. Oil change done, tire rotation done (side to side) without having to give instructions... it's actually on the invoice that the tires are different sizes rotated side to side.

I also have no idea how I lucked out here, but when that oil pan recall happened I followed all of the instructions I could find here, took multiple videos from the hood down and couldn't find anything on the oil pan (raised or engraved).

Of course the lady at the desk mentioned the recall so they looked into it and I'm good to go. Marked as "recall completed". Was NOT expecting that to be honest only because the car was such an early build (10/2015).

Was also not looking forward to that after the power steering fiasco and full replacement! So I'm happy. Everything went well and timely.

The car feels better, but that's probably in my head lol. Anyway, as to the original post and question, yes you should rotate your tires on the SS.

Thanks again for all the tips and advice!

PS - Still haven't gotten any software updates and told them to leave the software as everything has been no issue. Has the Android Auto update been released? Just curious. I'll have to look into it to see if it would be of any real benefit for what I use now.

Yes, the Android update has been released. Your dealer will do the install. There have been some reports of 'no issues' and some reports of the 'update from hell'. I have an iPhone so I didn't have the update installed.
You might want to do a search and see what folks have experienced.
Here are a few threads I found:

The problem with this world is stupidity.
I'm not saying there should be penalties for stupidity,
but why don't we just take the warning labels off everything and let the problem solve itself.

Most of my on ramps and off ramps have me making more lefts than rights.

Gotta even put that wear.
