Building a 1978 Camaro now. But it is a drag car mostly. Not sure it will ever see the street.

My current Camaro is my fourteenth. (most were owned very short term though!)
My 76 I had the longest. I was gonna leave it stock... it ended up minitubbed with a full cage, 383 and a stage 3 system. The one I owned for years and NEVER drove way my 67. It was torn down the entire time I owned it. Owed my dad money and he sold it. Some day I MAY forgive him. lol

Been almost a year now and I still enjoy driving my 16 as a DD. So I guess that makes it one of my favorites! By this time I was already pissed at the 370!

My 1967 true RS/SS Camaro. Not #'s matching, but it is same year. Original color was black.

Nice! 50 years apart. Guess you should start saving for your 2067 Camaro, eh?

1968 ss/rs 396. I don't know why, but '68 was always my favorite, where most seem to like the '69 better of the 1st gen. I wouldn't be that consumed with matching numbers unless you can document all the way back. There are places that will stamp a block and you could left holding the bag!

I wish I still had the one in my signature.
1 of 250 built, and I found out after I sold it that it was the only one left with the original block.
Matching numbers, even the hideaways worked. I loved that car, but other family responsibilities needed to be taken care of. I hope whoever owns it now is taking good care of it.

No - it's not a steal, IMHO. Generally a classic car sold by a place like that is going to be selling for full value. Sure - it may fetch more at an auction but it may not.

I think it's a pretty nice car tho - I love the 2nd Gen Z/28's but I would rather have a 70-72 with the solid lifter LT1 motor if I were a car collector. I think that is why it's worth $25-30K where the same car if it were a 1971 could easily be worth another $10K.

If you could get that car for under $20K, now that would be a steal.

Its clearly not a number 1, number 2 at best. Wrong rear spoiler, aftermarket wheels, wrong exhaust, auto's are always less desirable than 4 speeds, don't believe its numbers matching unless YOU verify, not seeing any documentation to verify 52k original miles. Spend some time at NastyZ28.com, post this up and ask questions.

Dealers will advertise "believed to be... numbers matching...original miles" etc. Don't believe anything unless its verifiable and documented. These are always sold "as-is" - buyer beware.

It took me a long time to find a one owner number matching survivor with original paint thats well documented. If you want number matching you'll need to be patient, if you just want a fun second gen, have at it

3rd gen is fully classic now too,

I wish my 92 anniversary edition camaro wasn't so destroyed by rust back when I had it. I'd probably still be driving it today.

Wouldn't trade my 6th for it now though.
