The only thing I can truly say is that I WILL NOT BE BUYING A GM vehicle, since they started putting turbos in ALL their cars.

I can't reveal my list right now, as I have to wait and see if a particular 2018 makes an appearance in T.O. |

2 more sleeps
Gonna sign up for every freebie and offer. Last year I got invited to a Jaguar track/test day. Schedule did not work for me though otherwise it would have been cool. Except the part about being harasses afterwards for a sale....

Hey guys,
Planning on going tomorrow. I noticed the Chicago and Montreal show had a 1LE. Is it safe to assume the Toronto show will have one? I'm hoping so!!! |

also free coffee n snacks at the Merc booth if you bring a mercedes key....ANY year ...lol
Just an FYI.. Also does anyone have good parking suggestions for Wednesday afternoon? Going with my Dad so was thinking of just eating at Shoppsy's as I believe they still do free parking with a meal...? any insights much appreciated.. Also pretty crazy the Aston Martin is unveiling the new RB-001 (could be off a letter/number) mainly because its being produced in Markham by multimatic..like all of their previous super-cars...lol (one-77,vulcan, also do the Ford GT) cool stuff and funny that such a historic manufacturer comes to Canada to get it done right! *apparently shoppsy's is long closed...lol Last edited by M.A.K.; 02-18-2017 at 04:29 PM. |

Whatever you do, don't park in the Impark lot on the North East corner of Front and Simco. Back in 2015, I think it only around $12 to park there. Last year it jumped up to an absurd $45!!! We went to the show Tuesday night and parked in the Metro Convention center lot. It was "only" $25, which now seems like a bargain by comparison. I don't mind paying $25 for the convenience though, since we can leave our coats in the car
As for the show, I was disappointed to only find a ZL1 and an LT. Not to trivialize the ZL1, but it's the 1LE I'm most interested in. Still, it was a good opportunity to compare the Mustang and Camaro back to back. Admittedly, I'm heavily biased towards the Camaro, from a styling, engineering and performance point of view. However, being 6'7", comfort is a critical consideration. The Mustang does have more knee room, But I'm reasonably confident I can get an automotive upholstery shop to cut out the center knee pads and streamline the console on the Camaro so I have the room I need. Both have adequate head room, even with a helmet. M2 and ATS-V and JCW Mini Copper are also considerations, but the first two are way out of my budget and too new to find good deals used, and it's very difficult to get a Mini without the sunroof. Camaro 1LE is still top of the list! Nigel |

Yeah I usually park in the south convention centre lot, dont even need to bring a coat in. I try to go early and hit the exotics first before it gets busy.
ZL1 was cool, first time Ive seen one, and the grand sport vette was beautiful. The front and rear refresh on the 2018 mustang looks much better in person than I thought it would, I may even prefer it now to the 15-17. Nice tp have a high profile debut for a change, the Aston RB-001 was interesting from a technical standpoint but not what I would call beautiful. Heres an album of pics for those that care to see some of my favourites of the show: http://s17.photobucket.com/user/dave...how/autoshow17 |
