My point is its a SPORTSCAR. Not and eco or touring type daily driver car. Its not meant to be in "cruise" control lol

Sports cars aren't meant to be convertibles, have ac, power seats, leather appointed, etc...basically everything your 2ss has but you still bought it. Obviously you saw some usefulness in that. Don't act high and mighty just because you don't want it. That's the great thing about it, you don't have to use it.

If you're not driving out in the middle of no where...cruise control is not something you'll use often. So not caring about it or the lack of advanced versions of it is going to be common. Roads where most people commute are too traffic heavy when driving to set cruise control, adaptive or not.

I'd have purchased my car without AC if i had the option. You dont. Even when living in PA/NJ i never used my AC in any of my cars. Heat doesn't bother me. Not having AC in the car though wasn't an option i could choose.

Not sure why anyone cares about if someone wants something like adaptive cruise control or not though. It only becomes an issue anyone needs to care about if it's standard rather than an option.

I'd certianly not miss the following but didn't have a choice:
AC
Power seats
onstar
xm radio
wifi
rear window defroster

meh.

Well, even Ferraris and McClarens have A/C, power seats, and leather. That argument is old and irrelevant in the year 2016.

The only kind of sports cars made in the year 2016 without A/C and leather are bona-fide race cars. Most of which are still slower than Ferraris.

Not true. I use my cruise every day, as often as possible. Even on a 40 mph road. So long as traffic gives me enough room and it's not stop and go I use my cruise constantly, and engage it as soon as I hit highway speed.

My parents have only owned cars with A/C going back to the 60s, when it was a $400.00 option. I've never known a car without it, and would never even consider owning one without it. It's 2016. You do not gain power or performance without the A/C system because it weighs so much less than one did 40 years ago, and it uses maybe 2 hp when engaged. Probably not even that. It ain't the 30 pound Fridgidaire compressor that bogged the engine down when it ran like it was in the 60s man. They're light weight and efficient now.

Same thing for power seats. The motors are small and made out of lightweight aluminum now. The seat tracks are all aluminum and polystyrene. Again, it's 2016. Power seats add very little weight. It's not the 1960s where electric motors were the size of a Mack truck and weighed as much.

Too be honest I bought the car for the discount deal and color. Havent used the ac, cruise and pretty much the rest of the others. But for the deal and the added options for resale. This one was less than the 1SS's offer in my area. I bought this one. So ya, your complaint is invalid.

That's not the point. At some point AC and other nice to haves have become standard on sports cars. It doesn't make them less sporty. So at what point does arguing about adaptive cruise become invalid? When the majority of cars have it is when by your statement. Which is fine but not what the other guy was saying.

I'm sure at some point someone thought power steering didn't belong on a sports car. We all accept it now and doubtful many would buy a car without it. Just funny to me the guy complaining about people wanting it bought a car with loads of features that his same argument could be used against. Some people should keep their opinions to themselves, especially when they are being a hypocrites to others.

I just think it's funny that you weigh a lake house against a ZL1. To me, I would get the lake house since that appreciates in value...sell it later on and get a ZR1 (if they make it) or some other craziness.
