I once got a new handgun. Went out to a rural beach near where I lived for some plinking against the cliff. Let my girlfriend take the inaugural shot. It kicked, she dropped it in the sand, and it was never ever ever NOT gritty, no matter how much I broke it down and tried to clean the damn thing.

my wife and i have always had separate cars for that very reason.she hated my 66 pontiac tempest hotrod,drove it once in 25 years,never drove the solstice in 3 years,and so far her record is still good with the camaro.its probably just as well...

The Camaro is actually in her name, even though I drive it 99% of the time. She's never let me live down the day she took it and I watched her leave. lol

This wasn't my WIFE, nor my CAMARO, but a few years ago, I was on the way to go buy some new tires for my '76 Cutlass. I figured that on the way, I'd spend time scrubbing off whatever faint traces of rubber still remained on the old tires.

It was fun... but would be a lot more fun with a buddy! So, I stopped and picked Randy up at his place.

We spun some Brodies, we did some Rockford Files, and lit 'em up at every stop sign or traffic signal.

Finally, Randy asked if he could give it a shot.

Not ten seconds after trading places, my car was perfectly vertical, on its side, deep in a muddy ditch, after having taken out a number of road signs on the way.

Good times.
