yep...wheels, 2 new colors, and a new upgaraded interior color option (same as the "427 edition") Then again, they are adding Bluetooth, and making variable ratio steering and steering wheel mounted radio controls standard. The good news: The GM trainer I spoke with said we can expect a new C7 vette by 2010 or 2011. Just in time for Chevrolet's 100th birthday!

i dont get it i thought the zr1 took over the z06? but it doesnt look that way so i 2009 we can get a z06 or zr1. is this z06 gona still have the ls7 or a different motor? im confused
imo the it looks exactly the same to the previous z06 minus the rims. gm should have just stuck with the zr1 now their just over killing the corvette like ford has done with the mustang

There are a few key differences between the two cars, though. 1: FORD, hasn't been bastardizing the Mustang to badly; it's all the aftermarket companies, like Saleen (puke) that don't have any other pony cars to work on. 2: The Mustang has 50,000,000 different copies out there, all with a few different distortions, where as the Corvette now has 3 from GM. 3: Most of the differences between the Mustang and all its copies is purely appearance-driven...whereas the Corvette has an ALL-new powertrain that is out-of the-world-powerful. 4: Finally, the Corvette is allowed to do whatever it wants to do and expect people to like it...because it's a Corvette. (all in good fun! ) |

The ZR1 has all the distinction it needs. 133 horsepower worth of distinction.

Not too sure on the wheels yet. I guess I'd need to see them in chrome . Otherwise it looks sweet. It looks like the front lip is different. If there are no other changes, then when is the LS7 supposed to die? I heard it was coming soon...

Ok, how about the exposed carbon fibre, the enlarged fenders, bigger brakes, and larger spoiler for the ZR1?

+1...the brake and rotor combo is a $17,000 option in the ferrari enzo. plus the roof is carbon fiber, it has a front air splitter, side rocker panels, embroidery in the seats, etc...they are very different, trust me.

yeah, and just to add to that list, what about a smaller, but more powerful 6.2 liter, supercharged engine making 638 horsepower and 604 lb.-ft. of torque? Oh, and don't forget a top speed that officially enters it into the 200 mile an hour supercar club? 205 isn't bad, not bad at all...not that i know this stuff off the top of my head or anything...

Last time I checked the previous ZR1 looked EXACLTY the same as the base model corvette, almost the only difference was this tiny badge on the back of the car that said ZR1... There's actually alot of differences in this years model of ZR1, be happy your getting those....
