If you get the 2LT with the RS package they are close. V6-V8, SS has active rev, better suspension, ton of coolers, Brembo brakes. different spoiler and front clip. you can also upgrade options such as magna ride. I have driven both and even though the SS is fast I choose all the comforts of the RS and the convenience package and built a high end RS. for the same price. I could have gotten into a 1SS but pricing what I wanted made the SS over 50k and for that you're in vette territory. If you plan on street driving in comfort go with the RS, if you plan on the track then SS is the way to go.

And if you're anything like me, if you test drive both, you'll find that your smile gets much bigger when you hear the exhaust note and feel pull of the V8 when you lean into the throttle.

+1.

Both sound good, but OMG the 2SS with NPP is awesome. I still remote-start it sometimes just so I can hear it!

Another difference is that the convertible 2SS comes with a strut tower brace. The convertible 2LT does not.

Does the vert 2ss come with a strut bar just because it has no roll bar?

I have a 2LT RS 50th with a special anniversary front end that looks better than even the SS. It also has some very nice creature comforts added that made it much more attractive than a stripped down SS. And for anyone thinking the V6 is not beast enough to feed the male testosterone, well then it is pretty clear you have not driven a 6th gen V6 and you really sound foolish talking out your a$$.

Everytime I see someone talk down to people with T4s or V6s I think "Look at this guy with the little man syndrome". I know your secret...

Sorry I'm a male with a pair and NO I would not drive nor test drive a V6 Camaro. If I'm going to buy a muscle car I'm going to buy the experience and the adrenaline that comes along with it. My 17 ss is my dd (now getting headers and exhaust) and there is absolutely nothing like the rumbling of a throaty V8 and the ass end kicking loose when you let off of it rounding a turn or corner. If I didn't get the V8 I would simply look at a V6 accord, 370Z, or Hyundai Genesis R spec 3.8.

Younger to middle aged males - V8's in pony/muscle cars
teens or chicks - V6 pony/muscle cars
Elderly/retired - whatever's clever lol
