Anyway, according to Autoblog there are no plans for a supercharged SS for 2017:

Chevy spokesperson Afaf Farah told Autoblog in an emailed statement, "There are no engineering/performance changes to the SS for 2017." When pressed further on updates to the SS for 2018 or beyond, Farah declined to comment. Holden will introduce the 2017 Commodore later this year.

Could care less what they call it...

They offer great value w 50-50 balance. Have to admit after 2 full track days in my Zl1 the 20% off the SS had me looking to use as daily driver and track car.

2017 Model
If the can balance the weight w an LSA to remain 50-50, 6 Piston option up front and put a real oil cooler on it or a "Z51" Pkg - I'm Sold. Since this is my Christmas wish list - Yellow with Black forged rims like my ZL1.
