Nice job but i think the car looks unbalanced with just front flaps, i'd do rear too. Just my opin.....I agree with the 3M tape, I use a lot of it....the real key is making sure both surfaces are absolutely virgin clean, before you stick it , especially on a flap.

The area in front of the rear wheels of my 2010 Camaro had so many tiny chips it was unbelievable! I put molded mudflaps to the rear of the tires but I never imagined the front section would get torn up so bad? I installed the factory mudflaps on the 16 but am very concerned that the factory protection to the front of the rear tire wont be enough. I haven't even put my 1LE wheels on the car yet, kind of afraid too! I'm wondering why they didn't extend that protection all the way to the wheel well?

I can tell you that just mud flaps wont stop it. I had the mud flaps and still had issues. So I had the factory plastic removed and had a larger piece that covers up to the seam and a few inches under the door and I'm glad I did. There are some stops in the film now and I am probably going to have to replace it ever year or so. Better the xpel than my paint.

Just do the xpel and make sure it covers the areas you can already see being affected on the car.

Like I said I dont regret getting mine done, and I had mine done in 3M filmfor both sides at 160 dollars, and it further extends towards the front of the car, much further then the factory PPF which I think is a joke.

Any one else mind sharing some input on how high the highest "Chip" is that they found on their rear fender?

Would hate to install film only to find a rock chip above where the film ends! I'm guessing the entire rocker panel might be sufficient since that piece goes up the front of the rear wheel pretty high but I'm not sure.

Hell, has anyone gone all out and installed film to cover the entire rear fender?

I plan to get paint protection also and am aware there is chipping back there. I would appreciate knowing where they are happening too to get a piece made for the rear flare.
