I'm a Waze Beta tester but they still haven't released the beta for Android Auto yet, I'm patiently waiting

You can get a monthly 1 GB plan for $10/month. I mean, how much data are you really going to use on your phone in the car?

Can confirm. I'm beta testing it also, and haven't seen a thing.

Waiting . . . waiting . . . waiting . . .

FYI...there are two different betas a Waze one AND an Android Auto one. From what I have been reading, you will likely need to be signed up for both.

Yes there could be local broadcast Wifi with the phone being the Internet access, but then Chevy does not get any vig on the service. So I doubt Chevy will allow that. Or maybe the hardware will not. It would be nice for us though.

I'm a little late to the party. Having never tried Waze, what are the benefits to it?

Before google bought it Waze was the traffic app to have. The best feature on it is that other drivers can report speed traps, and other road hazards. Unfortunately once the google folks got their hands on it they started adding advertising nags when you stop at lights.

It's still among the best nav/traffic apps, it's just plagued with mobile advertising now...

Still nothing, I'm signed up for both Waze Beta and AA Wazd beta, they still haven't released the AA beta yet. I still use Waze in my car but it's really annoying because sometimes it will come through the stereo and others times it won't. It seems like the Bluetooth with Chevy MyLink and Android Auto fight for control of my phone when plugged into the USB with Waze running. If I turn Bluetooth off on my phone, it will automatically turn itself back on when plugged into the USB

Android auto requires BT to be enabled. It automaticly enable it.
