Lets start again as you're missing this... YES it is a 15 amp fuse. (15 is the amperage capacity)

It is in fuse slot #51 (see the fuse guide in your manual or on the fuse box lid)

There are other 15 amp fuses in the fuse box. You don't just pull one that says 15!

There seems to be different opinions shared here. On one hand people say that to force the valves always open you pull the fuse or have a device to control that fuse circuit to override the vehicle controls. Then their are others who say they use the driver mode controls and user options to accomplish the same thing.

That local owner is definitely incorrect though. No way to force the valves open without pulling the fuse or making one of these controllers.

Here is an excellent write up on functionality of the system. Ours is identical(except fuse #'s): http://www.corvetteforum.com/forums/...ck-result.html

Also remember there are 2 vales on the A8. 1 is for the AFM and the second set is for the NPP.

Man I've been looking for this thing forever and finally found it. That damn bug with Drive Mode settings vanishing makes this thing a great find for someone with headers. I'm sending a PM now and would test it for you. Otherwise I'll buy one if it works.

Is there a way of having it switched on/off with the ignition? I see it recommended to use F30 for the power (windshield wipers) but that appears to be unswitched (light stays on without ignition) as were all the other fuses I tried at random.

So: anyone know where's a good place to tap switched 12V power in the engine bay?

I thought the Windshield Wipers were switched to the ignition. When you turn off the ignition the wipers no longer function ... is that right? If the fuse location is still hot then they must be switching that circuit downstream of the fuse.

Use a voltmeter. Attach one lead to ground on the car. With the other lead, probe the fuses (there is are two small contact points on the top of the fuse). You can test if the circuit is hot by simply touching the voltmeter probe to the test points in the top of the fuse.

Let us know which fuse you may find that is switched to the ignition. Note, you may have to wait 10 minutes or so after switching off the ignition before testing to allow the car's ECU to time out. Many circuits are kept active for several minutes after switching off the ignition.

Announcing Support for Gen6 Camaro

The Forza Controller Model C1 is now available for use on the Gen6 Camaro.

The Model C1 provides two operational modes:
  1. Normal mode ... control of the bypass valves via the car's ECU
  2. Always Open mode ... forces bypass valves open, removing control by the car's ECU
This model controller was originally only supported on the Gen5 Camaro with NPP and now it is supported on the Gen6 ... and on Corvette C7 as well.

You can read more here ... http://www.forzacomponenti.com/exhau...troller_c.html

Thanks to those people here that helped with testing. I look forward to being able provide this level of control for the Gen6 owners now.

Regards,

Steve

Hey Steve! Quick note on your link where it shows the simple instructions it states that on the gen6 the device needs to be installed near the fuse block in the rear of the car, however if I am not mistaken the fuse for our NPP is in under the hood #51

Use F43

Steve - thanks for the tips and sorry for the delay, I'm just back in town.

I found that F43 (AFM valves) makes a good switched power source. The wipers fuse is always powered so as you say they must be switched elsewhere.
