Waited until I was in my late 30's to start buying cars as toys. At 52, my Camaro is paid for, the pleasure its gives me now is so much sweeter than if I had to make payments on the damn thing. You are doing the right thing if its a drag on finances for you

I keep it stored and only bring it home on the weekends to go have fun with it. Each Friday, like today, is a celebration and something to look forward to. It just wouldn't be the same if a the car was sole source of transportation, as there are many more sensible options out the for basic and everyday driver.

But, what it will be worth in the future matters not to me. My car is real special to me.........in fact.........its Priceless

Thats something id write up a little better and send into GM corp, maybe its time that dealer went bye bye and who knows, maybe GM corp will offer to make up for it in a big way. They could use good press like that.

Worth a shot

Great post, and be proud you have your priorities in order. Family always comes first. That being said.... can we all come over and hang out in your new family room?

j/k Enjoy that new tv with the satisfaction of knowing that you'll eventually have the car to go with it.
