At first I thought it was pointless, but now I get it! It sounds badass from 6th to 3rd @ 70, then wot

With the push button start I have gotten in the habit of doing specific things when I start and stop the car.

So Start the car, set the dash, get the mylink the way I want it, set the drive mode, turn on rev match, turn off the parking brake.

Shut down I stop, set the brake, turn the radio down and windows up, then shut off the car. With the radio on at idle I sometimes cant tell if the car is running, so I make sure I hear its off

The rev match feature is great, there is a RPM limit of 5400 rpm. In other words if your doing 60 in 6th gear and want to go into 1st gear it aint gonna work. As long as what ever gear you are downshifting to is less the 5400 rpm (once your in that gear at a given speed) ..it will rev match.

Nothing a catback upgrade cant fix...

I am honestly surprised we got this feature with the gen 6, and very happy that we did too. Heel-toeing is great and all, but sometimes you just want to row your gears and not have to worry about it... Active rev matching helps keep things easy and fun.

I'm not sure why they made it so you have to turn it on every time you start the car. My 09 370Z had it and there was an on/off switch which I only used once to turn it on. I never touched it again. Hopefully something will come out in the future to allow this to be on/off for the Camaro. I loved it in the Z and was happy to see the Camaro got it. Heard the same thing years ago from those who never had it....saying it was a gimmick. Once people actually have it, they realize it is a nice feature. My motorcycle had it also.

Does the rev matching feature mean the 16 SS also get's "No Lift Shift"?
If so, you would have to grab the paddle once to turn on NLS right?

ie. if Rev Matching is off, NLS is also off; if Rev matching is on, NLS is on?

I guess I'd not be one to test it if it's not an official feature, it's like - "lets see how I bounce
off the rev limiter!"

I love ARM and how it blips the exhaust as you down shift. Just remember, it doesn't help you get started from a stop and that's the hardest part of driving a stick.

To be honest it's a good feature but can be annoying too.. For instance if you are going 45 mph and just wanna put in neutral and coast some before u hit the brakes to come to a stop and not down shift.. As soon as u push in the clutch the motor revs up .and the neighbors look at me like I'm trying to show off revving the motor lol.

Does it? In my experience with it, it would only rev match after you entered the gate of the gear you wanted to go into, not neutral.

I noticed this as well. I think the car is anticipating a shift to the previous gear. So it revs when you hit neutral. Thus if you go directly into the previous gear it only revs once. However if you put it in neutral and pause a couple seconds then put it in gear, you'll get 2 revs. Once for neutral and once for the gear. Same goes for when you down shift -2. One rev when it comes out of gear, then a higher rev for -2. I'm not sure why they designed it to rev coming out of the gate, maybe anticipating any lag. If the rev match lags going into neutral, by the time you put it into gear you're all set. If it lags going into gear, nose dive/whiplash!

Just my .02

If you put it straight back into neutral it doesn't rev the engine. It will rev match when you put the shifter into the direction of a lower gear.

Thanks you for the great info. Just test drove a manual ss today. Loved it, but was wondering about the two blips. I was excepting one blip as the shifter is slipped into gear. ( like this Porsche gt4 http://youtu.be/9lb8rhTQSMA)
