I have no experience with the 6th gen is this matter, alithough I can't see it being much better.

Now both of my children can use forward facing seats, which I'm praying will work when I am ready to pull the trigger on a 6th gen. If not there's always the trunk as punishment for one (joking.....sort of)!
Your rear facing car seat must have been extra large or you installed it wrong. I had the passenger seat in the correct position with the rear facing seat installed and there was still room for a passenger in the front seat. I won't take the car on a long trip, but in a pinch the rear seat is good enough and is the reason I bought a Camaro and not a vette.

I do kinda wish they used a little more of the rear of the car for cabin space vs. trunk space.

But, for me, and sorry for saying this, it just doesn't matter all that much.

FWIW though the pathetic back seat doesn't bother me. I buy a Camaro to haul ass, not carry my friends and family around.

Funny how the Corvette with its larger trunk may actually be more practical than the Camaro now. Bottom line in order to get a normal sized human in the back seat the passenger in the front seat is going to have their knees in their chest.

My daughter is almost 4. Her feet rest on the back of the seat. My wife can sit in the passenger seat but it's a little cramped up there.

The back seat is just for extenuating circumstances. That's it. If you need space, buy a suburban.

Remember, you can legally cram someone back there by moving the front seats up- everyone is uncomfortable but it should be occasional and short distances.

You can't legally do this cram job with vette.

What forward facing car seats you all using? I have a 2 and a half year old and my convertible car seat is just too big to fit her in the back and be able to drive with my 7 month old at the same time.

Yeah, it's little more then an upholstered storage shelf. I would have like it better if they had actually made it into a shelf. Can't see anyone older then 4 fitting in there.

Or, the Chevy SS. V8 plus spacious rear seat room. Same price as 2SS.
