I really don't need to see it I just want it there, secure not sliding around and not taking my cup holders.

Ah ok, I use the Waze app because I live in a big city and knowing where the cops are is a huge plus.... like, I use it even when I know where i'm going strictly for that reason, as well as it re-routes you around traffic so sometimes it will take me a diff route to avoid traffic which makes the app a huge bonus... so I need it pointing up.

This should stickies somewhere. Perfect for running driving apps...Waze, Escort Live, and ALP all without losing the storage capacity of your cup holder.

I'd like to see how that attaches to the knee pad. None of the ProClip bases I have had (4 or 5) have been permanent. They just clip on. If the base from the C7 works in the Camaro, why doesn't ProClip advertise it? (Maybe they don't know but I kind of doubt it). The website still is missing the 2016 Camaro mount.

I'd buy that mount if it fits my car.

Oh really??? UGH. What would you recommend that's similar? I love that location.

What's the UGH for? I didn't bust on the location.

Not a problem with the location except that I might hit it with my knee. Can't really tell the clearance by the photo. The one I had in my SRX was on the other side of the console in the exact same place. Putting the phone over the console, where I could reach it and it was in my line of sight. I would just like to see if it is truly clipped on or screwed in. I have been waiting for ProClip to come out with their 2016 Camaro specific mount. Supposed to be sometime in June. But if the C7 mount works, why wait?

For a cell phone mount, I love what I did in my G8.

Look just to the right of the A/C vents. It's a Panavise mount. It's essentially a bent piece of powdercoated metal. It attaches via 2 screws that hold some trim, and are hidden. I glued a magnet to the mount, then inserted another magnet into my phone case.

The holding force of these 2 magnets together is 74lbs, I think. It doesn't move or come off while driving. The 2 magnets just hold the phone right on the dash, with no mount visible. But, to get the phone off, you just twist it and slide it off. Much easier than disengaging some locking mechanism on a mount. And, it doesn't intrude into your cockpit space. It looks almost factory when the phone is mounted.

The case is a simple Spigen case. I took a Dremel wheel and cut the hole. The magnets are simple 1" x 2" x 1/16". About $6 from https://www.amazingmagnets.com/sf-plate-magnets.aspx.

An added bonus with the magnet permanently mounted in the case is that I can stick my phone on any metal surface. Are you outside and want to stream music to your bluetooth speaker? Instead of sitting the phone on a table, stick it to your patio fridge door. Working on your car and need a light? Turn on the screen flashlight and stick it to your fender or hood.

Looks like Panavise makes one for a 2010-2015 Camaro. Don't see one for a 2016 yet, though.

ya, i have to agree, I don't like the idea of magnets against a computer, maybe that's just my old school desktop computer experiences but i wouldn't chance it personally

For whatever reason my 6plus doesn't even fit on the wireless car charger so i've gotta figure out a solution for utilizing that as well, hate to have it and not use it.

Also, I have my concealed carry permit and would prefer a nice holster for within the car as well. Either under the steering wheel or elsewhere i'd be open to. Anybody invested in one of those yet? If so, what brand? Pics?
In my 14 SS I have a holster clipped under my steering wheel. There is just enough room for it.
