I am now hearing android auto will NOT be available in an update. If this pans out, GM will have a class action lawsuit on their hands.

Yes. There are some posts on this board. Look around. It could be true as they did the same thing with my wifes impala. Promised aa in a future update, only to cancel it.

Sounds like BS to me, but will wait for evidence. Especially considering how Ford and FCA both announced it is coming soon for their vehicles at CES. A lawsuit would be the least of their problems. Explaining how their competitors can put it on an 8" and GM can only get it on a 7" would disastrous in the long run.

If it works on 7" screens, should only really be a display driver is the main difference the bigger screen and a little different UI. See no reason for it not to be still coming soon.
