I would like adaptive cruise control. I would also like for the safety tech and the auto-dimming mirror with the garage door openers to be optional on the 1SS.

I'm hoping for more supportive seats more than anything else (well aside from a Z variant). I think performance wise the SS is stellar but the main reason I haven't ordered yet is because I want Recaro seats.

I don't think the 1LE will make an appearance for 2017MY, I'm putting my money on 2018

The question mark to me is what will happen as a response to the Voodoo equipped Mustang this time. A ZL1 is not really that car IMO. I think there will be an SS with 20 more hp, revised gearing, and wheel/suspension package to go head to head with the GT350. Could be a 1LE. Secondly Dodge is due to release the next Challenger for the 2018MY. I also would not be surprised to see a weight reduced Mustang at that time too. Lots of good stuff.

Without a same day/same driver test the standard GT350 seems to offer about the same performance level as a standard 1SS 2016 Camaro. $37,000 for the 1SS Camaro and $50,000 for the GT350 also no options, I honestly don't think that we need to see a model with a bit more power to counter it. Unless you are speaking from a marketing point of view, though from that point of view you need to produce the same amount if not more horsepower.

With that said Al did say in an interview that the 5th generation Camaro had to some degree set in stone. What exactly that means and how things will end up with the 6th generation Camaro is anyones guess at this point. That means we may indeed see a 1LE Camaro, along with the ZL1 and Z/28 Camaro. Will we see a 1LE Camaro? honestly taking the standard SS Camaro dropping a few points (the 5th generation 1LE had a base weight of about 3,880). If they go a similar route with a sixth generation 1LE we might see a base weight of around 3,655 pounds, with improved handling, braking, and acceleration for a nominal fee. To me this is what the 1LE package means to me, based on the 5th generation Camaro. Could they make lets say a $3,000 1LE package that will allow the SS Camaro to get to 0 from 60 in 95 feet, 0-60 in 3.9 seconds, and pull 1.05Gs on the skid pad?. I would also love to see GM offer the Corvette competition seat in the Camaro however with a more hard core (no heating and cooling and manual controls).

I doubt we will see a direct GT350 competitor. If GM builds a 1LE package, it may come close but it's not a direct comparison. The LT4 Z** will probably beat out the GT350 and R but, again, isn't a direct comparison. If GM builds another Z/28, that would be the car but I would be very surprised to see another Z/28 like the 5th gen car.

I want to see a 5.5L NA powered Z/28 with weight reduction, minimum options and keep the price less than the GT350.
