AO himself told me on Nov 7th when we were talking about the aftermarket companies and the potential of the car. I also did ask him if CAI designed the Chevy Performance intake as it looks pretty much THE same, he didn't reply to that question though haha. And the STOCK exhaust (non npp) was design by Borla in TN (Tennessee).

Does anyone know this? The box I'm referring to is where the filter is housed.

so you can see if the filter needs to be cleaned. I for one don't like how it looks with the window. I wish it was just covered up.

The local shop actually backed out today as the owner said he was not expecting such a drastic change and the amount of work of making this cai would impede on the projects they have already going and said they would contact me at a less busy time. I have seen some of the cars they built and theyvare top notch.

GMPP Intake
Wow it does look a lot like CAI. I am actually going to wait for CAI or ADM to do one before I buy a new cold air.

I wouldn't jump on an aftermarket filter just yet. Check out an independent test done on popular filters, and their effects. http://www.nicoclub.com/archives/kn-vs-oem-filter.html . Ultimately its up to you to decide whether X brand intake is right for you. I would go with the gm intake as it is designed for the camaro.

Just using a "cold air" intake alone without a custome tune has never helped any of my cars at the track. Since GM is offering a tune with theirs, I would consider it depending on price and performance. No aftermarket for me since I leased the car and won't be getting a tune and voiding the warranty.

Anyone heard any time frame for the GM intake being released? I haven't heard anything about the CAI or blacked out tail lights for a while.

Same here. I'm waiting for all the accessories to be available before I place my order.
