Has anybody tried to locate a 2016 camaro using chevy's site? it says there is a Black 1LT at the McKenney Chevrolet dealership in Gastonia, NC. 10 miles away from me.

I am sure that is inbound, not on site yet. Who even knows how accurate that is either.

I called the dealer and they said they didn't have one and that it could be one that has been ordered and on its way there. The person I was talking to didn't seem to know much about the car so who knows?

Congratulations Tr6. Beautiful toy sir.
The biggest question for me is how do you fit in the car compared to a 5th gen. Can you see yourself wearing a helmet for track days? I am in the market for one but it has to fit with a helmet for me. 6 footer weighing over 300 here. I appreciate your input. |

I had 2 evo 10s haha. I am 6'2 260, my father in law who drove the car is 6'4 and 270/280. We both fit great. My driving seat positioning is not even the lowest it can be and I can still wear a helmet in it np. I actually tested that, I have a Scorpion exo-500 helmet and fit in just fine! I uploaded some more pictures on my photobucket album which is HERE. I cleaned the garage a bit yesterday as well and make it much better lol. |

Pics from dealership, night downtown, and parked outside my apartment.
The car is really more stunning in person for those who have not seen it yet. The adrenaline red interior and new soft touch materials inside are really nice. You guys are gonna love it and people are going to drool all over it trust me! The ride is super smooth (even without mrc) and you can def feel the weight difference, this thing flies! For manual drivers, the clutch is a lot lighter (I prefer a stiff clutch). Clutch travel is about the same. I'm not good at "reviews" so if you all have any questions, ask and I will answer as best as I can.

Thanks man. Appreciate the info big time. You just made my day as the helmet thing was bugging me about this car. Awesome news. Is the handling remotely close to the Evo in terms of directness and quick? |

You wouldn't believe me even if i told you the answer to your question.... Camaro handles... A LOT better than my evo ever did. Night and day. Very, very different driving styles as well though. My evo was modded to hell ofc, bilstein shocks with eibach lowering springs, whiteline FULL products (sway bars, rear end links, positive steering kit etc). Camaro feels much better, gets the job done exactly how you want in BUT camaro and the evo accomplish your goal in a night and day manners. . Now the awd vs rwd kicks in and you cannot put the gas metal to the floor and expect the car to turn/get out of corners because you will just spin around lol. LT1 NA power is beautiful, just slight feathering of the gas pedal combined with the direction your steering wheel is pointed gets the job done and FAST. Ass wants to go out all the time but traction control is fantastic. In very very basic terms, think of grip vs controlled slight drift. Grip being evo and drift being camaro. My evo x had HORRIBLE low speed maneuvering and camaro having GREAT low speed maneuvering makes it an even better DD. Hell, you can toss the ass out if you want to have even better low speed turning LOL! |
