Congrats to the GT350R!

I would have also placed bets on the Corvette, or the Porsche but the GT350R would have been in my top three guesses as well. GT350R sounds simply amazing from a driving point of view (and literally sounds amazing too lol)

I like Randy Probst's quote from the recent MT video while driving a 350TP....it was something similar to "This 350 is a great car....just don't drive the R first!" lol.

Bring on the 1LE and the Z/28!

Yeah, with every review saying how amazing the car sounds I need to see/hear one in person.

Can't wait for M/T review of the R

The GT350R is definitely a great track car, no doubt. BUT, there are going to still be more then a few owners who get butt hurt when trying to play with a SS at a traffic light. Even the R’s times on those sticky tires are basically the same as an SS at 4.0 and 12.3…

Well how often did you see a Z28 on the street? Obviously there is some traction issues with the new mustang, but the trap speed shows who the real winner would be in the hands of a good driver, especially from a roll race.

I can't wait for the H2H's. It is going to bad. Like real bad. I would say the Camaro SS is going to be right in the middle of the GTPP and 350R around a track.........

Flame suit on.

Quite often as there are two around where I live. A white and black one.

With the sticky, wide tires on the R I would think not, I just think it may be the gearing. It's not meant to be a drag car...

Hey M6G!

Definitely some bragging rights. Some hefty competition there too. Congratulations Ford.

Oh yeah...your right! I take back all of my very positive comments and congrats above.

I am now convinced that Ford was paid off, and this is all one big conspiracy.

No flame suit needed.

I can't wait for these comparisons. As far as the H2H where track performance is what is really being measured...then yes. A standard non-PP GT would get smacked. GTPP will get beaten handily, and honestly I don't think a base GT350 would be that far ahead.

I'm pretty much convinced that a simple 1LE package (brakes, tires/wheels, suspension) is all that is needed to give a GT350TP a good run for its money. But as I've said before, the SS 1LE would always be down on the superior top end power the 350 has. I'm thinking they might equip the 1LE with one or two accessories (like the optional intake) to help it breathe just a bit better on the top end....but maybe not.

Congratulations. I am surprised it beat the Viper ACR. After last weeks news of it going to 13 different tracks and setting 13 new records for fastest production car at each. One thing is it's nice to see that the Z06 is right on the heels of the fantastic ACR. Road & Track never disappoints me with their articles.
