Good for Chevrolet though for offering performance parts early on. I really liked the way they offered all the performance parts of the higher end camaro to the public for the GEN5. Really why I am cool with just an SS w/MRC and NPP. If I want more then this car I will build what I want. Not really into dropping 75k in a car unless it is going to be a collector. Most people trade them way before it can be a collector any ways.

Why do they have to be red.... Come on now. I like the understated calipers on the SS.

These plastic engine covers are just so cheap looking and non-functional.

First mod I'm making is removal of my engine cover.

I will probably only get the intake. Also Curious if they would have to do a different tune or would the computer set it self after it recognizes the different airflow of the intake.

Also I highly doubt they would void your warranty using GM parts.

The reason why I commented that it would void the warranty is that back when similar parts came out for the 5th Gen people jumped at them only to find out that just because GM Performance Parts made them..GM for warranty purposes still considered them aftermarket parts. They did not view them as OE covered items when it came to claims.

Ford Racing does something similar, as does Mopar. People jump on these thinking they're a safe bet because "It's GM and they wouldn't sell something they won't cover" when that is NOT the case.

For some, modding creates more headaches than it's worth. It gets old threatening legal action because your dealer will not honor your warranty after changing an intake or replacing stock speakers. I've had both happen, with different dealers and different car brands.
If your having issues you are at a crappy dealership. I have never had issues even with forced induction. The dealer gets paid by the manufacturer and won't deny claim for an air cleaner or speaker change. So the dealer is the issue. If you have that many issues why bother going there? Plus having a car like a Camaro will suck. I guess it must be driven like a Camry to keep the warranty.

So many Eors on the forums. Life's too short.

It's interesting to see the performance exhaust gets rid of the giant muffler for two smaller ones.

I am interested in the intake, but like mentioned above, wondering above a tune to the computer...also depends on the price and if there are nay real gains from this intake.

I have an aftermarket lighting system in my '12 SRX, HID's weren't a stand alone option and I didn't want the next trim up and spend a few grand more just for lights...my dealer never gives me a problem and my battery just crapped on the truck, covered under warranty...and the harness to the lights ties directly into the battery terminals, they even put it back on like it was previously.
