To answer your #9 question.. It is worth it on my opinion. A couple reasons:

1) its still much cheaper than a borla/corsa catback and we KNOW you will be getting that FAST! So save some money.

2) you get the butterfly which during a road trip you can cut the noise levels way down by switching the mode you are driving in.

3) while catback is a joke to install, car comes with it installed thus less time to do something and you can tackle installing something else :P (saves time, time is money my friend!)

4) Sound is fantastic for stock, it'll keep you satisfied till companies release their own products which will take a month or two I would assume, at least.

5) quad tip, nuff said.

Yes, get it if you can swing it. Go down to the Chevy dealer and check out a vette with it.

Stealth mode for the win in the morning sport mode as soon as I get on the road.
Yep, keep neighbors happy at 5AM, and keep Wifey un-annoyed with loud nasty exhaust. Then have it loud and nasty when I want it.

I don't believe you have the choice to have it open all the time. That would allow the customer to defeat a Federally mandated requirement for noise pass by, which I don't think the OEM can do. It would be like enabling the customer to turn off airbags.

I believe it is conveniently priced at or just below many of the top notch aftermarket exhausts. And those are loud allllll the time. Even on the highway, which I don't prefer. I do not like an open exhaust on long trips, Sam I am. But many do and many will prefer an aftermarket solution.

It is now available on the SS for 2016. When I bought mine last year (2014 model), it wasn't available. It isn't an option that is so awesome it makes me want to trade in and get a 2016.
I believe the car will start up in Tour by default which only opens the valves under power (not sure what throttle setting). Sport and Track (for the SS) will definitely leave it open most of the time. I believe I even heard its open on startup then closes in Tour. So you can actually leave it fully open all time time, but I bet it will revert to closed until the setting is changed again. From info we have heard in press releases and from Al, I'm thinking they have changed the settings from the C7's NPP, but check out this video.

You can actually hear the exhaust change as he toggles the setting.

Also the Scat Pack cars have their valves open in in sport mode, which can be made the default mode for the car. So sound regulations must be peculiar.

Is the stock exhaust noisy on the highway inside the cabin? Can you hear it when your driving? Since, you can't change the noise level.

Unless one is planning to change the exhaust to aftermarket, then NPP is definitely worth it.

I would opt for this without a second thought. That factory 2016 x-pipe exhaust is quite good and sounds good open or closed. A friend of mine has a 05 C6 Vette making 790 hp to the rear wheels and is running an OEM dual mode exhaust from a newer C6 Z06. The controller for switching the exhaust was run through the homelink buttons on the sun visor. With the exhaust closed you'd never know the car is what it is, its so quiet and tame and barely audible in the car at highway cruise speeds. Open the exhaust and its a different story

You can go in through the driver display and set any exhaust mode for any driving mode. Actually through the display you can set all variables for each driving mode. You can tweak things to how you want them. Been discussed on here before. Don't have time to search for the thread.

For V6 Camaro owners does it make any sense to get the NPP exhaust OR is the NPP just meant for the V8 engine?

I used a No Weeds electronically controlled diverter on my 2010 LT (NPP not available for Camaro back then) and I was quite happy with it.

Therefore, yes, I believe NPP would be worth it on both the V6 and the V8 Camaro.
