That's rough... you can get a Ford GT Premium convertible for that MSRP. If the 2SS starts at $45k, dang, with MRC and NPP that's awfully close to $50k I'm thinking. Deep breath! Deep breath!

They probably didn't want to scare everyone who has orders in for the 2SS away just yet LOL I figure I'll be at 40k for my 1SS with Auto and NPP

This was my fear. GM is more focused on higher margins, and less focused on winning the sales battle. They can rest assured they will no longer be the most popular sports car anymore with prices this much higher than the Mustang. This is $4100 higher than the entry level 2015/2016 Mustang GT.

yes this ultra slow fashion of releasing any info is now starting to get annoying with the unveiling of these disappointing price points that we were supposedly going to be "very pleased with"

I want to see employee pricing for the 1SS, and the employee price for all the options. I know it was posted pretty quickly when the 5th Gen came out. I ordered my 2010 in May of 2009 with the employee discount, no way I will order without the employee discount. Looks like a 1SS with auto trans as the only option at this price point.

I seriously can't believe this base price point. I will have to go in with a larger down payment now. I only wanted to finance about 33. I will have to save the rest just to get to that point. I figure my car that is order 1ss with npp and black emblems will be about 38k with military discount. i need to save 5k in 3 months now.

This was a press release. Complete pricing will go to the dealers and not as a press release. Shortly after the dealers get complete pricing, it will appear on this forum. BeckyD has already said she would and we have some other dealer sales staff also.

I am certain this is the pricing release that Chevy staff meant when the said pricing would be available in two weeks.

I planned on doing a 2LT with RS, Dual Exhaust, and Convenience & Lighting package. Pricing is exactly what expect it to be. I wonder if the pricing for LT models reflect the turbo 4 also even though the turbo does not come out until spring 2016.

I am wondering if this 1LT pricing is with an I4 and more comparable to the 1LS 2015 pricing and the 1LT with the V6 will be more inline with the 2015 1LT + 3000ish

NPP is just the RPO code for the dual mode exhaust setup.

wow....

I'm guessing GM is betting that price doesn't sell their cars, brand loyalty and performance will.

Good luck GM.
