Kershaw and there made here! Once a year (usually in November) They have a factory sale at ridiculous low prices. I've bought factory seconds and some experimental's at 10 cents on the dollar! Best knives I've owned!

Speaking of Benchmade - if anyone can score me an Infidel.... I'd REALLY appreciate it!
![]() To the OP - I wouldn't ever put my life on a cheap knife. If it's honestly something to save your life, spend the money you think your life is worth. Besides - a good knife can and will last a lifetime, or several. Right now I carry a CRKT Anubis. No open-assist, no serration, no glass-breaker, no way I'll EVER break this thing.

After using multiple types for real situations, not outperforms a dedicated belt cutter such as the Benchmade 7. A knife that sees use will make it much duller over time and the limited surface area means it may not cut, or not cleanly/quickly, in the emergency situation its intended for when every second counts.
For glass breaking the hammer style is much easier, the tiny knife ones can require some serious oomph and hitting it at the right angle to work. But it'll get you inside. |
