Only mustang I would ever want to own is a 1969 Mach 1....other than that, I always thought they were rather boring.

Are any of you considering switching to a Mustang?

Where did you find the price? I know people were guessing/joking 50 for 50 years but I didn't see an official price anywhere?

Ill play the other side today and say something everyone on here is afraid to say. You get what you pay for, the majority of GM service departments are horrible after the bail out it doesnt matter to me because I dont have warranty anymore because of Mods but if I was on the fence for a vehicle that I wanted the most out of my warranty out of chevrolet and ford I would be buying a ford. Hence the bigger price tag to pay for their master techs while GM is firing more master techs because of the bailout.

I would take your advice if I needed service but if you knew the history behind the first 2010 camaro I owned you would say different. I have been to every dealer within a 100 mile radius of where I live. If a company is under staffed and under paid then the work will reflect on its customers plain and simple.

I'm no helicopter pilot but that would be an extreme challenge to lower a Mustang with that wind into a very small space in that close of a proximity to a major building.

Or compare a Boss 302 to a 2SS 1LE and you'll pay thousands more for the Ford.

Mustangs sound great and I love the heritage, but you get more for your money with a Camaro.

Agreed, price per pound the Canaro wins hands down.

Sorry, but I had to go there. The door was wide open ;-)

I've always been a fan of silver and red since that was the first fifth gen with stripes that was shown. Great looking car man.

The wind, the spire and the small deck make this too dangerous, if not impossible.

I had been considering a muscle car for a few years now. I had initially planned to wait on the 50th Mustang and I'm glad I didn't. Last year I decided not to wait and got the 2013 SS. Glad I did. The new Mustang looks okay but I like the Camaro better.

Having said that, someday I will own a 1965 Mustang Fastback! I could have gotten one last year but wanted to get a modern car first. Fastback will be in another 5 or 6 years.

After almost selling mine last year, I have decided to part with it this year. Sad, but I simply have no room for it, nor the time to drive it. I didn't even get it out once last year. The car belongs with someone who will enjoy it.

Interesting statement as the 2014 J.D. Power Consumer Service Index rated GM highest in both segments (luxury and mass market). The study measures customer satisfaction with service at a franchised dealer facility for maintenance or repair work among owners and lessees of 1- to 5-year-old vehicles.

My experience with both Chevrolet and Cadillac has been exceptional. Sometimes I think the service advisers at Cadillac like my car more than I do.

And when it comes to vehicle dependability, Ford again is below average.
