Camaro at "Duck Dynasty"

Sarah (17 yr old daughter) and I made a quick trip to Mississippi for my granddaughters 5th birthday. It was a great father/daughter one on one time for us.

We came home Sat so I wanted to miss Baton Rouge due to the LSU home game with Florida State so we took the back roads and ended up at Monroe, LA where Duck Dynasty show is (if you ever heard of it). I was thinking about how neat it would be to get a picture of the Camaro under the “Duck Commander” sign, but there was like 200-300 people walking around and groups of like 20 people getting their picture taken under the sign so I pretty much wrote it off.

While we were standing in line to buy some merchandise I saw this guy dressed in blue over to the side and he sort of looked like the “boss” type, so I eased up to him and said, so are you the boss? He said “no, he wasn’t the boss but that he wore the gun” so I said “well that makes you the boss in my book.” He cracked up!!

I asked if it would be possible to pull my car down into the loading dock area (there wasn’t anyone down there) to get a picture of it. He said, “Why don’t you pull under the Duck Commander sign? I said that there were so many people over there that I didn’t even think that I could have a chance to do that. He winked and told me that he would take care of it. He asked what car I would be driving and I told him, don’t worry you will know when it is me, lol.

So I ease over there and about 30-40 people were waiting to get their picture taken. I left it idling in neutral and stepped out and told him that I wanted to pull in and turn around so the front of the car would be facing out. So this guy moves the crowd back and I pull down there, spin around, and get out, and at the last minute Sarah showed up to take my picture, so I reached in and popped the hood. Soon as it opened I heard about 10 explicative’s and the funny part was, even though you can’t see anyone in the picture but me, there were about 20 guys taking pictures of the car when I popped the hood, LOL!

Pretty cool. But my biggest question out of this is when did Florida State (FSU) play LSU?

I go to FSU and that is not on our schedule but Florida played them.

The pic really doesnt do the engine justice, but when I pulled the latch and opened the hood, I almost had to stifle a laugh when my daughter was trying to take my picture while all of the guys were snapping shots of the engine.

Here is a better pic of the engine.
