Funny how they kept saying how slow our SS were. Now my 2012 SS LS3 brought me to see the light, it was all a scam to make 5.0s look better and faster. I admit I do like them as well especially the Boss but my car slow, yeah right, not even to a 5.0.

Really, it's just what has been keeping the fires going for all of these years. Each side has drivers who enjoy the cars, then they have the fanatics who are die-hard Chevy or Ford.
For most of us, it's all in good fun. I'm friends with a lot of Mustang owners (even married to one) and while we joke back and fourth, the one thing that you can take away from it all is that you're driving a great car no matter who built it. (as long as it's a Chevy :P)

Wile I agree with this, you gotta admit the myth of how increadable the stang is gets old. There have so manny test showing the camaro besting the mustang, then there are just as many with the mustang on top. Fact is they are super close in every aspect, I don't see a clear winner of what is the better car. I have always been die hard chevy, and I am great full of the stang...we chevy guys need someone to pick on

I may be biased but come on man, you gotta give the 5.0 props. Pretty sick when you can go 11.5x N/A with a Boss manifold, CAI, tune, and big and littles. Im not saying the camaros are slow by anymeans, but the engineering on our little 5.0s are pretty sick.

I said earlier I love both Chevrolet & Ford but if you think your gonna get any respect of your 5.0 on this site, it aint gonna happen. I dont know why but very true, I respect them. I owned one.

When all things are relatively equal, mods, bone stock, same track, same run the two cars are about as equal as can be. 9 out of 10 races between the two are won by the driver not the car. I've had my share of Chevys and Fords and when it was new, whichever car it was, I was very proud of it. I am so glad the Mustang 5.0 is an American car....imagine what the forum would look like if the Stang were a ricer car!!!

All I know is that at our local drag strip a Friend of mine with a beefier CAM, headers, exhast, suspension and tuned SS built by JDP Motorsports gets absolutely smoked by My other Friends 2011 5.0 by a full second! The mustang only has aftermarket CAT back exhaust.

With that being said I'll take My Camaro over a Mustang. But the new 5.0 have my full respect!

Yeah, I will admit I have had my fair share of mustangs in the past, but this 5.0 stuff is just getting annoying. This is a true story, I went to a Ford lot to look at a 5.0 before buying the ss, they actually had a used ss blocking the 5.0 mustangs, it clearly was the better looking car, didn't even try out the mustang.

Of course you hear "5.0" all over this forum, it's your primary competition. No mustang talk on this site would be like having a museum dedicated to the 60's in America without any mention of the Soviet Union.

I don't see too many Mustang owners bashing on Camaros; we like them too, that's why we're here.

Im not the member of any Mustang Forums but I bet there arent but a handful of Camaro owners on any Mustang sites so in my opinion if your 5.0 was down 50-75 horsepower to the Camaro then I dont think any Mustang owner would be here so I do think alot of Mustang people here want a argument and know how to find it by joining this Forum.
