6'4" may be a problem, I'm 6' and it is tight.
Get the Camaro, mod it with the money you save, buy GM and help out America in the process. I gaurantee you will get more looks in the Camaro, plus the Camaro community is much cooler. |

I don't drive a 370z but I do own an '07 350z (with the newer VQ35HR engine) so I figured I'd throw in what little info I can:
To the people who are wondering about how much head room, one of my buddies is also 6' 4" and he also owns a 350z and never heard him complain once about not having enough room. As far as the driving experience, coming from someone who wanted the SS Camaro as my first choice (and having a twin brother who owns a Charger R/T with bolt ons), I was really looking for that V8 rumble for my next car but as fate would have it I had to make a choice sooner than planned and ended up getting a great deal on an '07 Z. Like others said, definitely try and test-drive a 370z for yourself, I absolutely love my car now but having a V6 (even a very powerful one) is not really comparable to a V8 in the driving experience for me. I am very happy with my choice, but if I could have held out and gotten an SS I certainly wouldn't be complaining either. My opinion, if you want a V6 go for the Z definitely, if you want that V8 rumble with a great overall combination of looks/performance at a similar or competitive price, get the 1SS. |

The Z is amazing. Everything feels very solid and crisp. Steering feel was the best of any performance oriented car I've driven (not many, but include SRT8's, RT's, V8 Benz's, BMW 3 series), and has really fun downshifting
. I'm only 5'6", and I felt the fit was good with some extra room to spare. The absolute lack of room for anything other than 2 bodies was the deal breaker for me. I also didn't like the styling very much, nor the exhaust note.

Oh and the interior is in a whole other class. Makes the Camaros look cheap...oh wait

I did too, till I was able to move the seat down another 3-4". There is a lot of room in the Camaro and a lot of adjust ability both vertically and laterally in the Camaro. Were you able to adjust the seat at all?

Room inside the 370z is not a problem, i drive the cayman regularly and the interior dimensions are smaller in that than in the nissan.
the only way to get a real answer is to go test drive the nissan and test drive the camaro which i probably wont be able to do for a while due to Nissan markups (making the base car with track package cost 40k), And having to wait for a camaro to show up on the lots. |

Drove a loaded 370z. Drove great, looked nice, handled very well. The car seem's to be head and sholders above the 350z.
That being said, I'm 5'10" and had a hard time getting in and out without hitting my head every time I tried. ![]() The 370z does have more USABLE storage (trunk space) than the Camaro, but that is because the trunk access is WAY too small on a Camaro. You can put a ton of small stuff in the trunk of a Camaro, but good luck getting a suitcase in their. With the 370z being a "hatchback" this really isn't a fair compairison. The Camaro has a back seat for larger items that wont fit in the trunk, MUCH CHEAPER, looks better, and isn't at all over priced. 370z has no back seat. Nissan has a terible resale value for their Z's. If the 370 follows the same trend as the 350, I'd pass on a 370. I was looking at getting a 370z but couldn't pull the trigger on it because of Price, value, resale value, and several bumps on my head. Fit and Finish on the Camaro is everybit as good as that on the 370z. Where the Camaro blows the z out of the water is Price vs Value. If your wanting a 300+hp V6, loaded, sharp for UNDER $40k, that leaves the 370z OUT. Hope this helps. As you can see from my signature, I have a Camaro on order, and won't loose a seconds sleep over not getting the 370z.

Also,
If your looking for performance, STS (Squires Turbo Systems) is developing single and twin turbo's for both V6 and V8 Camaro's. Twin for the C6 was about $8k installed. If you can install an exhaust system, you can install their turbo system and save yourself some $$. Take it to your local performance shop for a killer tune and you'll be VERY happy with your Camaro. My system will be on just as soon as I make it through the break in period. ![]() Choose wisely, it gets really expensive when you don't.
