In January of 09 I told her, "I am going to get a new Camaro". Shortly after that I kept her up to date on all the important news from this site and in April when I was ready to order I made sure to include her in all the visits to Chevy dealers. When she had questions I answered them, I njust kept her informed.

I've been drooling over them since they were announced and I've spun my head around like an Exorcist clip every time one drove by.

A couple of weeks ago she walks into the living room and says "Lets go buy you a Camaro for Christmas".

As we were walking into the dealership she says "PLEASE tell me you are getting an SS".

I drove my 45th Anniversary SS home shortly after.

Yup, she's a keeper.

I'm the wife and he likes it when I am a happy wife. I made the deal on my Camaro and drove it home. He objected on the grounds he likes Mustangs but I remind you, please refer to my first statement. Love really is grand.

I had a Jeep Wrangler that did me well through college, it was a really fun car but the terrible gas mileage, no A/C and lack of security realize it wasn't good fit college grad starting a new job involving traveling and client facing work. It was my grad gift to myself. I mentioned test driving the Camaro in passing to my family and girlfriend at the time but didn't say much past that. I remember leaving the dealer in my Camaro and just showing up at my girlfriend's place with it to surprise her. My family flew in from my vacation and I picked them up from the airport in my Camaro, boy were they confused when they saw me pull up.

Well i'm only 16 so I have no wife or anything but this is how it went. My mom was going out to get some things and said if I tag along I can get some new shoes so I go and they told me earlier that year that I would get a Camaro before school started again. So we leave the mall and stop at a Chevy dealership to look at colors and stuff and well the price was right so we bought it. Most expensive shoes ill ever own!

We have seperate bank accounts so there was no fuss. In fact the purchase was encouraged.

I drove up in it, parked in front of his work, called his cell phone and watched him and his coworkers stream out to look at the car. It was fun

Several years of fighting over the car. Purchased the car, then broke up 3 months later.

her biggest problem was that she doesn't drive stick. jajaja

Saw the car at the 2006 Detroit Auto Show as a concept and told her the car would be mine when/if it was ever put into production.

I had told my wife that I was gonna get a new Camaro when they came out. So when it was time to put in an order, I did... I waiting for just over 3 months and Status was still at 1100. I had called a few dealers to let them know I wanted a Camaro and wasn't real particular on Color, but wanted a 6 speed 2SS/RS. I got a call about a week later from a local dealer that had 3 new SS's delivered, 2 auto's and 1 stick. I told them I would be right there..

When I got there and looked at the cars, I told the salesman to let me test drive it (was almost unheard of back in 2009). I went for a quick test drive and I was sure that this deal was done. The salesman knew going in that I wouldn't pay over sticker price. I decided to go ahead and trade in my truck that day. I texted my wife that I would be home late (had to do paperwork). Apparently she thought I was WORKING late and when I showed up with a new Camaro, she was shocked !!! We both love the car so she didn't get mad other than the fact that she couldn't share the buying process with me !!
