Looking for some feedback from the forum on the Pro's and Con's of the GT-9 and GT-11 cams. I suppose it is fine to give an opinion (that is what forums are for right?) but I was hoping to hear from some of the experts that build the engine upgrades.

How do they differ in HP output and idle lope?

Would either cam be a decent fit in the LSA engine (ZL1) or is one better than the other?

Thanks in advance for the input!
I will be testing Cams when I get my ZL1, I will be working with CompCams closely as I have for the past 30 years.

Although the cams above are Great they may be dated.

Ted.

That's fine because I'm not ready for a roll cage. Once we see how the GT9 does, then I'll consider heads, then the ProCharger.

Maybe you would like to try one of my 470 RWHP Cams, it is also Very Blower Friendly, has great Driveability and sounds Awesome.

Both Idle the same.

We have put both in LSA engines and the fastest cars at the track are the GT-11 Cars.

ANY MORE QUESTIONS?
Are the "fastest cars at the track" being referred to, the A6 with torque converters? Leading onto the bigger question.... does the GT9 cam make more sense for M6 cars above 600 RWHP that already battle low end traction and might benefit with higher RPM power?

Guess I should add: My scenario is using with using M & H 17" 325 drag radials, so keeping it a "drive it to the track" car. (since answer might be different for full out slicks).

That is a great question Blue! I hope Andy comes back with an answer! I will be in the same boat as you (expecting 650-675 RWHP) when all is said and done.

Guys....you're doing some serious hair splittling here. The operating characteristics of the two cams mentioned are so close, it's pretty much a "pick em". If you had a seriously crappy exhaust, I'd opt for the GT9. Otherwise, use the GT11. I'd bet the differences would be hard to measure on similar builds.

Graham - Since Lingenfelter typically installs the GT-9 cam in their builds then I would assume you feel as though the GT-9 gives you the best bang for the buck? In your opinion does the GT-9 give you more horsepower?
