Going to take a lot to beat that one... he's working with a much lighter car. I believe Fastlane had a Turbo car over there in Louisiana that ran high 10's but haven't seen it around in a while...

yea,i know. my third gen would have put it on his ass with the 200hp shot i had on it. lets see....it ran almost 125 trap speed on motor...add 200hp to that....it ran pretty strong. kinda wish i still had it, but a truck was needed more.

There are VERY FEW fifth gens that will compete with that car, though they do exist no doubt. Good thing is, he is talking about chevy's in general. There are plenty of built LS1 cars that could man-handle his car. Get in contact with them. The fifth gen's suspension is just much, much harder to sort out for drag racing than a solid rear axle.

Let me get my nine inch diff in the next couple of months, and I'll drive over and see whats up... Plus the weather needs to cool a bit... Or as Speedster said, have him show up at the Pony Wars...

It'll be fun...

I think he's on borrowed time anyway. The engine in his car is stock internals and I have a feeling he's bumping it with nitrous. It runs a consistent 10.90 at around 125-126mph but sometimes it jumps to 10.50 at 130-131....I find that weird. But nonetheless, fords got their shit together on this one.

I had a stroker LS2 403 02 Z28 that ran low to mid tens. Drove it to work everyday. I would of stomped that guy. Like what was already said find a LS powered 4th gen. It will dipatch that car with the quickness if it matters that much to you.

Like Robert said...have it come to Pony wars. Shouldn't be much work if all he can do is a 10.50 on a good pass.
