no way, my car has already depreciated....and the SRT8's are more rare(maybe not for the convertibles), and definitely more expensive...

For the price of a new SRT8 Challenger, one could get a new Corvette. The discounts on Corvettes are THAT huge. I know they aren't really comparable, but that just shows you how overpriced the Challengers really are. If they were the same price as the 2SS, I might be driving one now.

If one car is selling with HUGE discounts, and another is selling with little or no discounts, which car seems to be overpriced?

I loved the challenger too. I drove a 2011 R/T, 2010 SRT8 (dealer didn't have a 2011 yet), and a 2011 SS back to back. The SRT8 was just way out of my price range so I was looking at a black 2011 RT with M6 and chrome 20's. Pretty base, no leather, but nice. I negotiated the price down to 29900 at the time from 32,700 sticker. That was with a 1000 rebate. Or I could get a 2011 Victory Red Camaro 1SS M6, no options except quarter flares for 29400, sticker was 32,140. No rebates. So I considered the interior to be pretty equal, the Challenger had push button start and the 2011's had way nicer interior than the 2010's. But the pedal setup in the manual transmission challengers absolutely sucked. They were spaced way too far apart to heel toe properly. I liked the Camaro interior too and again pretty basic, no leather either which was fine because which ever car I bought I was putting my own leather in anyways. The exterior, I thought both were sexy as hell. I was really torn between the two. It really came down to performance. I considered the SS and the SRT8 to be mostly equal performance wise. I had to go with the Camaro, because I got the larger engine, bigger brakes, and better pedal setup for less than a R/T. The Camaro just seemed to have better performance hardware for the money so I considered it the better value and thats what I bought and so far I am extremely happy.

When I say overpriced, I'm of course referring to actual selling prices, not some arbitrary MSRP. Is the Vette worth $6,000-$7,000 more than the Camaro? In my IMO, yes. Is the Challenger? Obviously it is to some people. If I was spending $45,000 on a new car, it's the Chevy dealer who would get my money. Same if I was spending $38,000. With the Vette and the Camaro, i believe you get more for your money.

I drove my uncle's Challenger 392 Edition this weekend, it's an auto but it's still a ton of fun, lots of power but since I drive a 500whp Camaro it didn't feel as fast as I thought it would. I liked how the computer can measure braking distance, g forces, 1/4 mile and 1/8 mile runs. Only thing I didn't like is the interior, but I've always hated dodge/chrysler interiors.

Just thought I'd toss in my 2 cent, haha.

I have to say that I fall in love with just about every fast good looking car that I drive, well at least at first. I just love hot rods, and the SRT8 Challenger qualifies! If I ever get filthy rich, Jay Leno's garage won't be able to hold all the cars I'd take home!

I think challenger look better than a camaro in my opinion. I love the old school look it has but, the interior just does not look as good as a camaro for some reason. Maybe its the dash panels.

Regardless, the only car I would trade my camaro for would be a shelby mustang or the new boss302. If I would have to go import, it would be a twin turbo M1.

but not a challenger sorry.

I agree, bang for the buck the camaro is way better. although I got a 2SSRS convertible, so I could have gotten a challenger for about 3-4 thousand more.....

I'm happy with my car, but there are just some hokie things I don't like, that if were fixed, would make the car perfect in my mind.
