But he did say the trans tune was locked and I wouldn't see it. So not sure if that means it was unlocked and he locked it again I figure due to trade secrets regarding trans tune dunno, but always some kind of non compete somewhere in every industry. You think maybe they just replaced the T93 TCM with one that was reprogrammed? Like on HP Tuner site? https://www.hptuners.com/product/gm-t93-tcm-services/ I assume that would explain why it is locked?

Now if the shop locked the tune, you might not be able to see them, but then one of the problems with this is you just have to take it on blind faith what, if anything, they tuned about your transmission... as a contrast, my car was tuned by Jannetty Racing, not exactly a noname shop (their wait times were in the multi-month range even back then), and Ted didn't hide anything from me or lock the tune. I can even look at the history and see what he changed on which day. Obviously, I do not abuse the royal treatment I received from them and try to screw them over.

Hey Fluke I'm happy you got your car back and already ripping down the 1/4
Do you know what your race weight was or a close estimate? How much gas was in tank? When you stage the car do you try to stage shallow?

The tcm can be unlocked and you still wouldn’t see the tune in it. It’s part of how hptuners is fooling the rest of the system that the tcm is still stock. It will always show stock calibration settings when read even if the calibration is different. From the picture above it looks like only the ecm was read and not the tcm also.

Can you post a log file?
Based on the video looks and sounds like the trans tune is stock and likely not unlocked It should be shifting 6800 minimum.

Full weight for sure. Haven't done any reductions yet. About 1/2 a tank. Honestly not sure what the difference is between shallow staging and anything else. I've heard the term but don't really know what it means.

I've seen on the old logs I made the shift points as others mentioned 6200-6500 depending on which gear it shifts from. And my power curve indicates its close to 300rpm higher than my peak. Which is close to the 500rpm the one person was talking about but rather or not another 200 rpm is going to change anything not sure. I will have to make a new log file because the software my tuner is using is version 4.11 and I did the log in 5.x so he could never view it. And I apparently already deleted the log files I made from last sunday since I have to remake them in version 4.11. Actually wait, I do have the 5.x version logs. In my email... See attached...

I would be shocked if the car wouldn’t pick up another 2mph shifting at 6600 for the 1-2 and 7k for the 2-3 and later
Unless the valve train is not up to snuff I don’t see the downside to reving it out

I think the shift points need to be raised a little more and i would reduce the Tq Mgt in the shifts. I Know tuners like to play it safe with the trans but you will pick up A LOT if the Tq MGt was reduced. I just got back from the track and Picked up 4MPH and .2 in the 1/8 by reducing tq mgt and messing with injection timing.

Well either way I am probably going to the strip later today. Get some new fresh logs.
Fixed TC issue with the new front tires Will try launching from idle See if anything changes
