No difference except a price bump and a few different colors, if it were me I'd search for a '23. As someone else posted getting a '24 at this point may not happen and you'll save a few bucks with a '23. Also check out the Recaro seats, I know you want red but the Recaro seats are really nice! Do a search on Chevrolet.com and see if there's anything that you like. Good luck, I hope you find what you're looking for.

And the addition of many dollars.

The 5-spoke forged wheels are also mostly unavailable due to their use on the CEs. The other issue is that no one knows what parts may become unavailable as Chevy tries to empty the shelves as it builds out the ‘24s. Plus, with the ‘24 price increase, you could save thousands by opting for a ‘23.

Hey WhiteMousse - I feel for you on this. I recently had to pivot on what Camaro I was going to purchase given the shenanigans on the 2024's. Here is a link centered on Lakeland, FL for what you are looking for within 2000 miles. If you want nation wide - just change the zip code to Idaho or something and you should see the balance. It currently shows 21 cars, and when I did the search from Atlanta, there were 24. Hope this helps - and happy hunting. Now you just have to dial for Camaro's! Just keep a log, and don't get discouraged - there are still good car dealers out there!

I was able to find a 2023 2SS with the LE package. It has 5,000 miles on it, and the OTD is $56,000.00. Should I buy? I asked for a new, and she said that a new 2SS without the LE package would be almost the same price because of the market price hike.

Is this a deal? Is she trying to bamboozle me?

I wouldn’t buy a used performance car, but it’s your money, so your choice.

If that is the 1LE I'd buy it. I doubt you could even order that combination and get it by the end of production. make sure you want a track car, though, I think the spring rates are pretty high and might make it uncomfortable for a daily driver. I guess in Florida it wouldn't be so bad though!

The MSRP on a new 2023 2SS 1LE is in the mid-$50s, so in your area the OTD price is probably reasonable. The 2023 Camaro Inventory at Chevy.com still lists around a hundred 2SS 1LEs across the country, but who knows how many are actually available? At least you can go there to compare equipment levels and pricing with the one you found.

As LeonardS said above, buying a used performance car is always a risk - and I always wonder if there’s anything wrong with any car being resold that’s less than a year old - but you still have plenty of warranty left.

I was thinking the same thing about the warranty. Check the tires too, if they have been replaced already then you know it was driven hard. Still, if you are looking for a 2SS 1LE, this might literally be your only chance to get a 2023 or even a 24.

I have to agree with Leonard, keep looking for a new '23. what color are you looking for? If it's just a street car the 1LE is not necessary and costs a lot more $$. A new '23 with the options you want is about $47k, Good luck with the search.

I'm okay with just about any color honestly. My preferences are either Rapid Blue or Black, but White, Red and Grey/Silver are fine too. I would say The burned orange is my least favorite but I don't mind it.

The big thing is Standard Coupe 2SS with dual exhaust. The 1LE is really starting to grow on me.

I've contacted a lot of dealers and they all say that these things are in transit and already spoken for, but they also all are telling me that they'll call if the person backs out.

Yesterday one of the dealers showed me a white one that had everything except it was automatic. Someone had backed out. There it was... ALMOST perfect.

I now have almost $9,000.00 I can put down on a down payment.

Did another scan on CarGurus, inquired about six more cars that match my specifications. I have some people telling me that I can do 2024's. If it meant I could guarantee an allocation I would do it.

Agree 100%.
That is unless it is a classic and correctly restored or a true survivor.
Searched for another 1970 396/375 Nova SS for years, looked at dozens and found too many issues.

I started down this path of contacting dealers and you should keep going. I went out to the chevy site, built the car I was looking for and found those "In Transit" or "At the dealership" within 500 miles. Those that are In Transit may not be spoken for but will still be shipped to the dealership. That is how I found mine. I have a down payment on it, and now the wait for the car to be delivered is on... and it's this way for many. Don't rely on the dealer to contact you, keep calling to find one.
