Mine was built in Sept. Not sure of the day.

Another thread with a bad valve spring (most likely). Must have sent ya back into a panic. Lol you should be fine at 500 miles.
I feel for the OP as that really sucks.

Dealership likely won't replace the engine if the valve didn't drop due to the broken spring. They will likely change all the valve springs and change the oil. Broken valve spring normally doesn't send metal through the entire engine either. So I wouldn't be too concerned about a replacement engine unless it dropped a valve.

So maybe the engine and heads were assembled in August, is that before the bad spring batch? My engine probably assembled October sometime, not confident on that being after the spring issue and have only 100 miles on my 2021 built 11/02

If I’m not mistaken the bad valve springs were put in the V8 engines.

It seems all the Valve spring breakage is well before 500 miles. I would guess, your engine could have been assembled in august or early sept.

May need to know when these LT2 corvette motors were built? they maybe all august september built motors? I would hope any motors built after mid october wouldnt have valve spring issues ( wishful thinking) I am on the Corvette forum, I may have missed some of the valve spring activity.
