Deleting the OEM oil cooler requires removing the coolant line from the water pump. Improved racing sells a delete kit, but the cap for the OEM radiator hose doesn't fit and I didn't like a rubber cap idea anyway. I used the water pump block off plug in the kit, but made my own solution for the lower radiator hose. The OEM hose is just a coupler with a Tee coming off to return the coolant to the system. I just removed the tee and installed a 1 1/4" straight coupler.

Very clean install and great idea! What fittings and hose brand did you use?

Have you had a chance to get out onto the track again? If not, subscribing for your feedback, when you do.

I also just installed the Griffin Motorsports (SOCAL.M6.ZLE) front crash bar. I'm hoping everything combined makes for a very well cooled car on track. I will be out at the track on June 28th, so I will report back how everything does then. So far testing the car on back roads, the supercharger coolant, engine coolant, and oil temperatures are looking great! If it Does well in June in Texas, I think it will work anywhere.

RaceFlux hose and fittings. They are all available on Improved Racings website.

Excellent! Thanks for the update, and looking forward to more.
It would be nice to see if anyone has an apples-to-apples for that crash bar update. It looks RAD, but some more data would be nice to have.

This is great info. I am first trying a 70/30 water/coolant ratio to bring down oil temps, then 80/20 if I am still having cooling issues, before going this route. The petcock makes draining and filling very easy, just takes a lot of coolant and time having to go back to a 50/50 mix for winter storage. I wasn't looking forward to having to buy an air oil cooler AND upgrade the primary intercooler because I lose the aux. Not having to upgrade the primary makes this much more manageable.
